Lisa We got back last week and I'm sure you'll have an excellent time.The apartments are basic but very clean. Sheets/towels changed every 3 days.If you turn right there's bars/restaurants for about 20 minutes and it gets livelier as you reach the beach.If you turn left, there are still restaurants and shops, but it's quieter and more family orientated.

Lisa, I think I'm a bit older than you, but my teenage children tell me that there's loads of good bars and pubs within 10 minute walk.Lots of British bars/nightclubs all touting for custom from about 10pm.Restaurants touting all day!!!(Very friendly!) The road down to the bars is the main road into town, so there's no isolated roads back up to the appartments (unless you decide to go the backway!)We did go to "Relax Bar" which did really cheap lunch - turns into Karaoke bar by night.Only saw 3 buses while we were there for 2 weeks, so wouldn't rely on public transport. Roads are pretty typically Greek!!!! Good number of taxis towards beach. We did the round the island boat trip and island bus tour through Smile. (The first tour operator you come to as you turn right towards the beach)They were really helpful. There are loads of trip organisers touting out there who are pretty much offering the same trips at identical prices.Hope this helps.
