Tsilivi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Vicki, my partner and I (28 + 32) visited Tsilivi (stayed in the Christina Studios which you have also queried) in the first two weeks of July and therefore was probably much quieter than it is now. My biggest disappointment about Tsilivi was that there is nothing 'traditionally Greek' about Tsilivi, in fact the resort has been developed so that Brits don't need to feel that they are abroad (other than the weather!). That said we had a really good two weeks - the island is beautiful so make sure you are mobile. There are much better beaches on the Vassilikos (sp?) peninsular than near Tsilivi so basically just move around a bit. There is plenty of nightlife without the resort being dominated by it so you will have a good time in the evenings busy and fun but not rowdy. A club (Enigma)opened in Tsilivi just before we arrived and there are lots of late bars. Christina studios is about 5 mins walk away from Planos (part of Tsilivi) and 10 mins walk from Tsilivi centre. The pool is lovely and the accommodation was OK (we were in the oldest appartments) we didn't find it too noisy. They are very basically equipt and are cleaned very regularly. The only issues we (and several other tourists) had was with the management, in particular Christina. As the 2 weeks progressed she got more tired (worked stupid hours)and became (randomly) rude. In the end we spent as little time there as possible. She may well have settled into it by now - to give her the benefit of the doubt she was nice and friendly to start with. If you like seafood I would recommend trying a small restaurant in Tragaki (a village which you get to if you continue up the road that Christina is near)called the Old Vineyard it is lovely and very friendly. It is off the beaten track but worth getting to. Enjoy your holiday.

Christina Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

And I thought it was just me! I am so pleased that other people have found Christina unfriendly and unpleasant. The accommodation itself was fine and cleaned regularly - the pool is lovely but the management really let it down. If you don't mind constant scrutiny and criticism and feel that a holiday need not be relaxing then this is the accommodation for you. Fawlty Towers without the humour.
