Julia and I went back to Mon Repos on 6th May for two weeks for the second year in succession (with our friends Jon and Lisa) and we weren't the only "regulars" there. There were at least 4 or 5 other parties who were repeat visitors. So what makes Mon Repos so special? The apartment blocks are small but clean, so that's not it. The location is good, but after lots of Ouzo walking back from a night on the town is hard on the feet, so that's not it. The pool is very clean and well maintained but there are no slides or diving boards so that's not it either. The range of food served is limited but always of good quality and the drinks can't be described as cheap. So what is it ? Well, I'll tell you, it's Sakis, Anna, small Nicos, Spiros and big Nicos who all make everyone feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Sakis has a sign in the bar..."there are no strangers here, only friends you have yet to meet..." and how true that is. Whatever it is the Mon Repos team have, you just can't buy it anywhere else!I've been to Corfu, Spain, France, Cuba and Florida and the best holidays I've had have been at Mon Repos and we will DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN.
