Nicole, I am going to the Bitzaro Grande in a few weeks. Can you tell my anything about it, your opinion etc.
I also did the trip on The Delphini. It was excellent value
(10 euros)apart from the amount of food and snacks we bought throughout the day. It is better to take a packed lunch with you, although the food on sale is fine if a bit pricey. It was the best day of holiday, weather wise and the sea was calm. The boat wasn't full which meant we could change seats anytime we liked. I didn't swim at the 3 stops we had but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was a bit boring at times but that is understandable as the boat sails from place to place.
Just back from Kalamaki and really liked it. It was a bit quiet but that is how we like it. We were in the Bitzaro Grande Hotel which is absolutely beautiful. It has over 500 rooms but only 18 were in use when we were there, we virtually had the place to ourselves. A stroll along the beach each morning was lovely and along the strip at night was good. I tended to go with the 'Kalamaki top ten' and ate at reccommended restaurants like Michaelas and Dias. We also visited the Cave Bar and Down Under Bar and enjoyed that. I would definately go back but maybe a bit earlier in September.
We ate four times here last week, it lives up to it's reputation. It is around the same cost as all the other tavernas but is in my opinion, far superior.
Was there last week but it was very quiet as the season nears its end. It was also too dark to see anything as the weather was a bit temperamental for a few days. I would like to visit it again but earlier in the season.
It was winding down and really quiet last week when I was there but I could see that its great fun and the bar guys are very entertaining.
Just back from a week spent in the Bitzaro Grande. It was excellent in all areas as most people have mentioned. We were B&B and I thought the breakfast was unimaginative but seemed OK for most people. It seems that next year the hotel is going to be 60% all-inclusive. I dont know if this will be a bad thing or not. There are over 500 rooms in this hotel and there were only 18 occupied last week. It was very quiet that I wished I had gone at least a week earlier. I will definately go back to this hotel.
