well first of all,we come to this site to see exactly what the resort offered us.in total there was 15 of us going to stay at the zante star, 8 of them were ages 8 - 14 wanting to play in the swimming pool etc and just enjoy their holiday.we were told it was ideal for familys and children.what a lie. if you smiled you were shot. the kids were shouted at a number of times for doing 'kid things' our towels were left for 3 to 4 days at a time without being changed.the bottles of drink are 4 euros each!the food is expencive and the greek night is absolutely rubbish,oh yeah,and the dog bit my mum and bruised her arms,and it has fleas.the fans were 25 euros for the two weeks,and there was no air conditioning.yanis was ok,but watch out for medusa (tracy)she never had a smile on her face,not once.

p.s. the day before we went home,we heard yannis say 'i can't wait until next week,no children' i really wouldnt advise it for a family holiday,certainly not for children,unless they sit still and don't make a noise. be careful not to splash in the pool if you do go, you might get thrown out.

in response to tracey pierces letter, we were there at the same time as jana bedford and we met the family concerned and found them most pleasant and not troublesome atall. i've been to greece many times with and without children and have always found the greeks to be most accomidating, however on this occassion yanis and tracey seem to be totally anti kids.we spent atleast 7 of our 14 days around the pool and the bedford family were with us most days, they never caused any danger to anybody else around the pool and i did witness an incident when tracey made a total fool of one of the bedford teenagers for bringing a bag of crisps down from the apartment and eating it around the pool. (and how dangerous was that).we spoke to other couples,with no kids and they had also experienced the hostility, so it isnt just the fact that we had children that we were made to feel uncomfortable. the greek night was a rip-off,i could go on,there are numerous incidents.but i think you get the picture. I will be e-mailing jana bedford and giving her my full support.

this site is totally misleading, and i feel for the peole reading this,taking their children on a holiday they will enjoy. the dog cannot be bathed everyday,it is dirty.and yes,he did bite my mum. i did notice the air con in the bar,but it's really needed in the room. yannis did say about the 'having no kids around' i did ask for clean towels and was told that i wasnt due a towel change for another 3 days. however the bar maid was very nice! its a lovely,beautiful hotel to stay in,if only the owners were abit nicer. i wouldnt go back,and i feel for anyone that's already booked up.i dont wish to hear any more comments on the matter,the entertainment, owners, dog and greek night are crap!
