we come back to kalamaki for one reason...mikaelos. the service is fantastic and the food is second to none. when you pay £3 for a bottle of wine that costs £12 back home, then you know its reasonably priced as well. mermaids is good for breakfasts but the reason i and many others go to greece is to sample the culture and the food;there's not much on mermaid's menu that i can't eat back home !!!

if you want a relaxing bar without football/the latest pirate movies then this is the place for you. chill out with the warm hospitality of yiannis & daniella and sample the superb cocktails as well as the best toilets in kalamaki !!!
