We are visiting Kalamaki for the first time this may and are staying at Daisy's. If anyone has got any advice on nice places to eat etc we would appreciate it. Also places to avoid would be good!!
We stayed at daisy's for the first two weeks in May and thought the apartments were lovely. They were spotless and they came in every day and cleaned around. The bedding and towels were changed twice a week. We didn't go into the pool bar much but some people went in there and seemed to enjoy it. The Greek night seemed to go down well but be warned you will hear it until after midnight in your apartments. Andrea was vey pleasant but we felt that Peter was your best friend if you were spending in his pool bar but would blank you otherwise...
we stayed in Kalamaki for the 1st 2 wks in may and ate here for approx 10 of those nights. The food was lovely, waiters were fantastic with Kids. Free brandies when you asked for the bill and kids got a free lolly. Really good value for money. Would definately recommend this place to anyone. They do typical greek meals, but we had a lovely english Roast dinner on the Sunday. Their Roast potatoes are a must!!!!!Enjoy if you happen to go..
Great food, great price but terrible service, Sorry!!!
This was our first trip aboard and we thought Kalamaki was very relaxed and laid back, there was a lot of rubbish by the sides of rubbish by the side of the roads but you got used to it and wasn't a big problem. There are some lovely restaurants. Pathenon on the main road is a must. Lovely place to eat (We went approx 10 nights out of 14). Beach was a bit disappointing so we waled on the beach to Lagana which was much better. It took about 45 mins but was a nice walk. Sunbeds in Lagana were 4 euros each for the day. A taxi from there to Kalamaki was 6 euros. Don't try and get the bus from Kalamaki to Zante Town. We tried a few times and they only run 3 times a day and they are packed when they get to Kalamaki. 7 euros in a taxi.
We went 1st two weeks in May and not everything was open. Too early to go everything was open etc as we were coming home. But never mind it was lovely.
Have a lovely time!!
