We will be staying in the Alexander (4 of us - 1 girl, and 3 lads, How did I get roped into that one?) on the 4th of June for a week as an end of uni trip! Can't wait to get on the piss!. Anyone else going to be there the same time? I've read all the comments on here, some good, some bad but all you want at the end of the day is good music and a bed to fall into at the end of the night (oh and a hairdryer socket that works for the girls!)
Stayed at this hotel at the beginning of June and was slightly worried by the mixed reports I had read about the place. But when I got there it was fine. Compared to the usual greek standards this place was quite good. I can't speak for other peoples rooms, but the two we had were clean and had modern furniture. You also get a TV, (greek daytime tv is even cheesier than ours!) The bar had entertainment every night and the bar staff Vangelis and Alex are great and join in the fun. Also the atmosphere at the place is great and soon made friends with loads of people that were staying there at the same time. They too had no complaints. The main pool area is clean with music playing and theres a quiter one if you fancy relaxing. The only problem I had with the hotel was with the sprawling corridors, It took a few days to remember the route to the room but thats not a real problem is it. With people reporting on here about rats and the place being filthy, I can only come to the conclusion that they were staying in a different place or I was walking round with my eyes closed for a week.
This place was great, definately get in there before 12 (they have to turn the music down at the front then) to see em doing all the bar tricks it has an amazing atmosphere, went back there again and again even tho on one night I got drenched by a flying cocktail shaker! umm chocolate orgasm everywhere :-)
Was there at the beginning of june. Don't be put off if you go to the beach via the strip entrance where all the bars are, the further you walk the better it gets. Theres a long stretch about half way along towards the kalamaki end where theres no sun loungers and no bars or resturants touting for you to come and use there spot. It's much quieter and cleaner with just trees behind, you can put your towel or lilo down for free and you don't feel like your being squashed into those regimented lines of sunbeds like sardines.
Hey I think that song is called...'Rembember (NA NA NA HEY HEY)' By Summer Love. Its sung mostly in Spanish? I love it too. It's on a compilation I bought over in Zante this summer.
Anyway hope it's the right one. xx
