I have been going to Zante for 10 years and will be at the Hotel Exotica in August as well with my grand daughter. We chose the hotel because it seems to have a lot going on for children. Every time we passed there seemed to some kind of entertainment for the children going on.

The milk is in colour coded cartons, blue and green, I'm sure one is full fat - I don't think the Greeks have fully skimmed milk. There is a Sainsbury style supermarket in Zante town but most smaller shops sell the milk as well. Any problems see Maria at the Escape Resturant, she speaks very good english. Escape is in Kalamaki near Hotel Exotica.

This bar is run by Babis and his brother runs the moped and supermarket next door, the oldest brother Tassos and his wife Maria run the Escape Bar/Restraunt. Congrats to Maria on the birth of her son Denis. So a good family background, the food is good and the staff very friendly but watch out for the flying ice cubes from Spiros. We went twice this year (2004) June and August and it was the best place and it sold draft John Smith's!
Good place to stop between the main road and the beech, didn't manage to get to the beech most days!

For Ashleigh Payne re Inonian Blue

Like many other we have just come back (6th October) and the Inonaian Blue was great and we have been going to zante for 12 years. Don't know the cost of the air conditioning but didn't need it. There is a small safe in the room, key operated, 35 Euros for two weeks it is about 12 inches x 6 x 6, enough for camera, video, travellers checks, passports, mobile phones, etc. Going back next year can't wait

Ionian Blue is a Thomson Hotel / Appartment, if you go onto Thomson Holidays web site 13/12/06 they do not appear to fly to Greece anymore!  Thomson and thier parent company are announcing job lossess in excess of 4000 mostly in the UK.

Been onto Thomson's they say they still do Greece and their excuse for it not being on the web site was that it may be that the website was being updated!!!!
