The Sand was quite full of cigarette ends and so forth despite the presence of little litter pots by every parasol, so you couldn't walk too far bare foot without placing your foot in something nasty. The swimming was very good however, very gentle waves and a slow and gradual slope into the water. The watersoprts are great, flyfish is phenomenal(25 euros a pop), i wouldn't advise children below 14 go on flyfish as you need quite a bit of strength to hold on. Its not a beach with much posing potential, most of the women whom choose to tan topless on there, you'd rather prefer they kept tops on. drink lager or water as wasps tend to come and land in everything else.
13 euros for the day from a tour operator in Argassi. I cant remember the name of the shop but a lady called alexandra ran it. The delfini toured the whole island with three swim stops, and visited all major coastal tourist spots. Navagio (shipwreck) beach is pebbly so remember flip flops. Try and bring some of your own food and drink as it is hideously expensive on the boat. All in all though a lovely day out but a little long winded by the end.
Good interior space and serves as an ideal car for carrying round four adults or two adults and three children. Handles okay on the bendy roads but otherwise quite an uninspiring drive. air con is a godsend.
Beautifully clean hotel, friendly staff, clean pool, would recommend louis hotels to anyone.
Location- one of the most beautiful parts of the island.
Quietness- Very quiet, ideal for a relaxing holiday, used the palazzo di zante pool during the day as it was easy to get sunbeds and was very quiet. The only lively area was the dionyssos bar (or dialysis bar as it became affectionately known) which was open till 1am. Which served as an ideal place to go after the animation team entertainment had finished.
Food and drink- little bit samey by the end of 2 weeks but the themed nights bought variety, bought there is always plenty of fresh salad and veg as well as a range of meat dishes. If you like curry have one before you leave on your trip is at was sadly never on the menu. Insane amounts of booze is always available for consumption, lowenbrau is the all inclusive lager, very nice as well.
Entertainment- this was organised by a lively bunch of italians and one fin when we were there. they did an excellent job and their work clearly meant a lot to them and this shone through in everything they did. (pea soup la la la la la la pea soup)
The greek sewerage system factor- it is not possible to flush paper down the loo over there, but bathroom bins are changed everyday so it generally isn't that vile.
