I agree with Tony. Peter must have been mistaken. Me and my wife are going back to Zante on 12th September (me for the third time and my wife for the second) and I can tell you that this is the one restaurant I'm dying to dine at again. I've never experienced Italian food as good as this place, or service as good.
We'll be in there more or less every night!

La Bella Napoli is just on one of the roads at the Cosy Corner cross-ways. Looking out from Cosy Corner go up the street where the gift shop is on the right and it's about 50-100m on the left hand side.
Hope this helps.
My wife and I decided to try this restaurant after reading glowing reports. I must admit that I was expecting so much more. We had a nice starter each and decided as we were in Greece to try the moussaka, priced about 6EURO. I've had moussaka before in Crete and it was an absolutely wonderful dish. I thought the prices were very good but the moussaka was very dry and had no meat in it (as far as I could see). The surroundings are very nice and the staff were pleasant enough.
I would say it's worth the 300 metre or so trek up the road as it's one of the better restaurants on the island but I can definitely say it isn't the best.
My wife and I came here based on the glowing reports we saw on this website, seeing as it was just down the road from where we were staying it made perfect sense. I've looked at the reviews on here again and think that we must have picked an off-night.
We both ordered mixed grills, I the 'Romios mixed grill' and my wife another (at least that's what I think I ordered). The food was okay except for a rubbery piece of chicken that looked liked it had been grilled but definitely was not. I thought I was cutting into a trainer sole! Felt a bit queasy the day after too. My wife thought her food was okay but nothing to write home about.
Like I said, I may have have gone on an off-night but the staff all looked miserable too. Defo won't be going back!
Me again!
Just got back from Laganas and, again, after trying various other restaurants including Romios and the Akropolis have to say without a shadow of a doubt that this is THE BEST restaurant on the island.
My wife and I are big Italian food fans and have yet to find a place of this quality anywhere that we've been. Sunday (that's what the owners name tranlates as into English) and her husband work very hard to bring a totally professional and delicious dining experience to all their customers and Sunday never forgets a face. I cannot say one bad word about this place except it should be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and in North East Lancashire.
This is the one true restaurant that my wife and I will miss until we return to Laganas in the future.
I know that it is now coming to the end of the season but if anyone out is going there soon and wants a delicious and reasonably priced Italian meal then do come here. The staff are great, the food is great and the prices are reasonable. I recommend any of the pizza or calzones or if you want to spend just that little bit more go for the 'Fillet Al Pepe' - a fillet of beef in a creamy peppercorn and Chianti sauce. Yummy. My wife recommends the duck in orange.
Sunday, if you are reading this, good luck in January with the birth of your first child from Wayne and Alison.
Only went here for Brekkie on our last day and it was the cheapest and best breakfast we ate.
Can't comment on anything else, except people were coming in droves for the Sunday roast.
After taking a turtle-spotting trip around Marathonissi, my wife and I decided to hire a speedboat. I would recommend it to anyone! We got the boat from the beach at Laganas and even though it was a slow trip out we enjoyed it immensely.
We went into the caves at the back of the island then stopped off at the shingly beach. The water was crystal clear and there was a way to get into the caves mentioned previously. Nice.
You can stop off at the sandy beach at the front too but you have to be careful of the turtle eggs there.
Highly recommended!
