This hotel was absolutelt wonderful. We have just got back today and were exremely pleased with our choice. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were always well cleaned. Breakfast will be a disappointment if you are expecting a full English - you are actually paying for a continental breakfast, so enjoy what is on offer. It really makes me cringe when I hear Brits moaning about the linen only being changed 3 times a week, and not being given a full cooked breakfast every day. How many of you would get these things at home? Just remember, you chose this hotel because the reasonable price was all you could afford, so please stop putting on airs and graces, just because you are in a foreign country.
The best restaurant in Tsilivi! Try the potato skins for a starter, followed by sirloin steak with a blue cheese sauce. IT was fantastic. The cost for 2, including starters, main courses, drinks and a litre of house red wine came to 23 euros!
I have never seen such a pathetic poser as Dean in all my life! He is like something from a very sad 30's film the way he lights and smokes a ciggie and his clothes are so out of touch - white cuffs and collars on a black shirt went out many moons ago.... The girls who served were more homely than babes! As for the 'act' Aloe Vera.... They should have been forced to buy a round of drinks for everyone for spoiling their night out.
This place is living on a reputation put about by a few loose women who were obviously putting it about. The place is filthy, the prices are sky high - 4euros for half a lager and a glass of Fanta lemon!!!!! - and the music is so outdated. This is obviously the place where sad people who want to go abroad to play pool, drink English beer at inflated prices and discuss football hang out. Get a life. When I passed it at 11 o'clock on Friday and Saturday nights, there were 7 people in the place! Not all Brits are saddos......
Just got back from Tsilivi on Monday. Weather is still scorching hot! The resort is ideal for families and older people at this time of year, because the main season has finished and it is a lot quieter, especially at night. The beaches were quite empty last week, in comparison to the first week that we were there. A truly beautiful place - the best holiday we have ever had. Forget the trips, use the local buses to Zante and Laganas. They are so cheap and you see more of the real Zakynthos.
This is a new course and it is brilliant at night! We paid 6euros each, but it was well worth the money.
This is PARADISE!! Not much sand, but the water is clean and warm and you can even stand 100m out and watch the fish with the water only reaching your knees! The place is so clean that they even have ash trays on the tables you hire with the beds and parasol for 6 euros!
Go out and book your own trips and save a fortune. Food at the Mediterranee in Tsilivi was O.K. and our room was fabulous. The reception staff were all excellent. The time we had to spend at the airport in Zante was totally unnecessary and needs to be reviewed. DO NOT BUY FOOD OR DRINKS AT THE AIRPORT - THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP_OFF! 7 EUROS FOR A SANDWICH. The flight back was horrible - Thomas Cook's planes have the smallest amount of legroom and seating space on any aircraft I have ever been on! I am 6 feet tall and my knees were scraped on the seat in front for the whole flight. We had to take turns in eating our meal, because there was not enough room.
