We arrived here about 9.15pm and was shown to our room by one of the owner's sons. He did not show us where reception was or explain to us how the key in the slot thing worked (the lights didn't work if the key wasn't inserted into a slot on the wall). The apartment was very basic and none of the cutlery/utensils looked like they had been washed for weeks. The owner and his wife were friendly enough when we approached them but otherwise hardly spoke. The room was ok for the amount of time we spent in it but I'm sure there was better rooms available on the island.
This beach was possibly one of the worst I've ever seen. I might as well have gone to Weston Super Mare. The cars have ruined it completely and the water was quite dirty. People seemed quite happy to be sunbathing a few yards away from a car park but it's not my idea of a holiday!
We ate here twice out of a week's stay. The first time the owner came out to us and offered us 10% off as "if we ate here once, we would come back". How right he was.
The food was excellent, service was a little slow even when the restaurant was empty but if you're not in a rush, I would definitely reccomend this place. The people were really polite and the New York Chicken was excellent! It was the best meal we had out there.
We came across this place by accident, spotting it while we were on a coach. We then walked down to it later that night and found out that Saturday night was Greek night. The food was good and cheap. My boyfriend wanted to go for his Sunday dinner the next day which was great! We then went back on our last day to sample the breakfast which I can heartily recommend! 8 euros for 2 all you can eat breakfasts with tea and coffee included! Yum yum! The waitress gave us a card with a free 1/2 kilo of house wine on to use on our next visit, but unfortunately we were coming home :( Only complaint was the amount of flies around.
A great place for hungry mouths!
