Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Went on the Mantlena on 4 July. Booked at Spring Tours in Kalamaki for 5000drs each - includes coach transfer. Good, well run boat. The torpedo style rolls on board were £2, not too painful if you're not buying too many I guess. Saw Turtle(1) Dophins(2) and Flying Fish(1). Swim stops were great. Shipwreck cove was very crowded with lots of other tour boats. The captain also found a cave big enough to accommodate the whole boat, all 45m of it. A great day out, but you do spend a lot of time looking at cliffs!

Zepos Taverna - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Most eateries are called Tavernas, but Zepo’s has a distinct bistro atmosphere about it with a stylish presentation of classic Greek fare. Good food, good service, good local wine. It’s at the East end of the resort opposite Crystal Beach Hotel. Well worth walking those extra few yards. Oh yes – and the kids can choose from their own menu while you enjoy the rest. Grown ups - try the ‘Zakynthian Mussels’!

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

This is a top notch Greek Restaurant, a cut above the ubiquitous Taverna tag, but with the same prices. Truly excellent food. About 500 yds along the Zakynthos road from 'the T junction' in Kalamaki. Well worth a visit. Gets busy, you might have to wait a while in their bar consuming large cocktails @£1.50 a go until you're called.
