Meandros Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Amanda D

We have just arrived back from 1 week in Kalamaki. We booked our flights in January and had decided to just turn up and see what accommodation we could get. We have stayed at the Meandros before so this was our first stop to try to get a room.

They had availabilty and were accommodating and helpful, however, since we last stayed here which was two years ago it has gone dramatically down hill. The rooms we were shown were on the ground level and both had problems with them, ranging from the locks on the patio doors not working (and only being secured with a bolt), most of the lights not working, loose wiring and leaks in the bathroom.

I believe the hotel has changed hands since we first stayed there and looks as though some of the rooms are in great need of refurbishment!! It's a shame as the pool, bar and restaurant areas are very nice.

Crystal Beach Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Although we have been to Kalamaki many times before this was our first stay at Crystal Beach and can safely say we would definately stay there again. We had a room with a sea view so we were able to sit on our balcony and watch the sun set.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the standard of the hotel over all is very high. The bed linen and towels are changed every day.

It was great to be able to have a choice of dipping in the pool or going down a few steps to swim in the sea.

Hong Kong - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Amanda D  (02 October 2005)

We have eaten at this restaurant many times especially on our last visit in September. The choice is very good and the service is excellent. The prices are very much the same as the UK when eating out at a Chinese restauarant, so don't expect it to be considerably cheaper. Eg 2 alcoholic drinks, a mixed starter for 2, 1 main meal and portion of rice, prawn crakers (all large portions) came to about 24 euros.

We will definately go there again.
