The location and the cleanliness were in fact perfect. Late booking and for us as a family it could not have been bettered at any cost. Basic but completely adequate accommodation  cleaned daily by constantly smiling and friendly lady. We've never been back to revisit anywhere (other than Glastonbury) but are rebooking identical package for this year. L

Very peaceful, beautiful place, though probably not peaceful if you go on a coach tour.

Hmm..thought Sunstart was supposed to be budget! The holiday we had last year was £777..this year £734 but they want £843 for identical dates next year. Curious.

Didn't eat here because the menu board, plus over zealous salespeople put us off. Chicken in spit...yum!

Food nothing outstanding but good enough and service and price were excellent.

Great fun but it cornered like a pram!! Handle with care 'til you get the hang of it.

Can't quite understand all the comments on here. It's a pub. If you want to go to a pub you've probably got one quite close to where you live. I have. When I'm in Greece I'd rather be aware of the fact I'm in Greece..have no desire to feel like I'm at home when I've spent a small fortune to leave the country. Having said that it's a perfectly adequate pub if that's what you're looking for. 

Not really, you have to carry on through the centre of Alykanas, past the first junction after the Apollo, then past the main central cross roads, past the Tipsy Toad then take the next left which will take you past Zante Garden and another place before you come to the Grapevines on the left. I'll be there in three days!!!!

Very pleasantly surprised..not been before this year as the reputation wasn't great but apparently it was restaffed for this year and the result is excellent. Best stuffed tomato and pepper on the island!!! Everything was good.

Another near faultless fortnight (very loud and irritating neighbours for a few days, but that wasn't Grapevines fault). Cleaner still meticulous as ever, George and Christina always cheerful and helpful, even after 18th Oct. quake did fairly serious damage to their house. (When you make it to the UK you'd be more than welcome to stop at our house if your travels take you to the West Country). We'll be back.... 

Don't want to be negative but just to put another viewpoint on here. Busters bar is a perfectly nice place run by nice people but it has nothing whatever to do with Alykanas, Zakynthos or Greece. You might just as well be in Tenerife, Torquay, Torremolinos or Telford..a little slice of England designed for people who like to go somewhere hot but can't stand really being abroad.

Oh dear, the “some of my best friends” apologists are here again, must have touched a nerve. I’m delighted people like Garry exist and indeed make up the majority of “Brits abroad.” Like a bit of local colour, a contrived “Greek” night and an occasional plate of tsatziki but need the reassuring security blanket of pukka pie, chips and a pint. I think that you'll find that the hugely witty sheep analogy more accurately fits those that go with the crowd, leaving the "real" Zakynthos to those that want to spend their entire holiday there rather than just dip their toes in. Having said that my holiday wouldn't exist at the price it does were it not for Garry and his flock so long may you continue to enjoy it.
