We just booked our holiday to Zante today and we will be staying at Dennys Inn! Can anyone suggest good restaurants, bars etc, and maybe what we can expect from the weather (we are going 19th June - 4th July, getting home just in time for my graduation ceremony!!)
Only 6 weeks till we go to Denny's!!!
Maybe we will!
William - We came back from 2 weeks at Denny's Inn on the 4th July. I
hope to god you wern't there then. All I can say is, we really liked
the hotel, and the standards there were excellent for Greece! You have
obviously never been to Greece before, otherwise you would have known
what to expect. What did you do to make the toilet fill up? Actually I
don't want to know, there are plenty of signs telling you NOT to put
toilet paper down the toilet!
The staff and Denny's were great and couldn't do enough for you. Apart
from you obviously. Did you expect to be waited on hand and foot? Or
were you upset because you had to waddle over to the snack bar for your
fifth cheeseburger of the day (which, incidentally, were really nice!)
As for the people sitting round the pool, you were in Greece, what did
you expect??? Not only that, but YOU DIDNT HAVE TO LOOK! nobody was
forcing you to sit and stare at people, or were you expecting a group
of size 8 supermodels to gawk at???
Your comments are arrogant and offensive. Please stay away from Greece
in future, people like you are not welcome in a country that many of us
love.
Unfortunately we only discovered this restaurant on our second week in
Kalamaki. We had visited some complete duffers of restaurants before
that! Zakanoh was by far our favourite restaurant! Yes it is more
expensive, but we would pay more for the atmosphere alone! The potato
skins with garlic dip starter was out of this world!!! We went to this
restaurant 3 times overall, and each meal was faultless! My boyfriend
particularly loved the greek kebab!!!
If we go back to Kalamaki, this is the ONLY place we will be eating!
The food was average, the waiters took far too long to serve and kept
ignoring us when we were trying to get their attention, you could see
into the kitchen, and one waiter was being sick all over the place,
then went home, and then a huge cockroach ran out of the kitchen, and
another waiter kicked it back in!
EEEWWW!!!
We ate at mermaids three times during our stay (twice evening meal, once for breakfast!), the rep even recommended it to us!
The food was lovely, with huge portions!
The only downside was the fact it was so busy! You feel quite rushed in
there, but I can understand them wanting to get as many people through
the doors as possible! They are definately the most popular restaurant
in Kalamaki!
