Admiral Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Okay where do I start? Arrived at 7am having not had any sleep. As soon as we were allocated our room , I took one look at the supposed balcony (which was in fact a basement terrace) and walked out again. Quite possibly we had the worst room in the Admiral, Room 117. Don't take this room! There was an open drain running outside our room, and the cleaners woke us up at about 7am - 8am, with the rubbish they were pouring into this open drain. There was absolutely no way we could eat our breakfast on the balcony because of the smell and the fact that some of the water from the drain used to run along our wall. So, I complained straight away and was told the earliest they could move us in 2 nights time. So for the next two days were took in the Admiral. Yes I agree with the people that have said that the Admiral was quite noisey, but being in a young couple (both 21) we didn't mind at all. The only reason it was quite noisey, I think because they're were more young people in the Admiral compared with the more family feel in the Commadore and Captains. The pool was okay, and the surroundings were fine. However, once we had stayed there for two nights, we were then promptly upgraded to the Commadore hotel!! We could not praise the Commadore and Captains highly enough. Our new room, had beautiful views of Zante town, the sea, and the three swimming pools we had the choice of. It was quite possibly the best room in the Commadore and nicer that quite a few of the rooms in the Captains! We were completely chuffed with the upgrade and that's when our holiday really started. The facilities in the Commadore and Captains are much better than the Admiral, however, the nightlife at the Admiral was much better than the quiet non-existent night life at the Commadore and Captains. However the resort of Argassi is waiting to be explored so I can honestly say we didn't spend much time at all on the complex at night. Also would definately recommend having the hotel food, it works out about £5 per person for three courses!! And it tastes lovely. So, if you get room 117 in the Admiral don't stand for it!! I didn't and got beautiful room in place of the hole we were given in the beginning.

Commodore Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

We thought the Commodore was brilliant! We had a great time there, the pools are lovely and the views we had from our room were magnificant! We were upgraded from the Admiral because we had such a terrible room, and found the Commodore and Captains were much better than the Admiral. If you want to read about a pool hotel go and look at what I wrote for my review of the Admiral.
