just to say if you want the best and quietest holiday on zakynthos go to alykes. this will be our 20th. year. we.ve always stopped at the beach house/virago and have had a great time every time. hated coming home every time. last year went for 3 weeks in sept/oct and had a fabulous time.the golden dolphin(beach front) was open again and we were well looked after by paula and jon and the boys. are they still there? I know they were returning to uk for xmas 2005, but were going back.good nights also on trainaki greek night.

Add your commen  On and off this will be our twentieth year at the Beach House(1). This year, our youngest and her family are coming with us in October. We are bound for B.H.2. It will mean an invigorating walk to the beach every day of well over 20 yards, but I,ll have to put up with that!  for anybody contemplating going, the accomodation is first class, Mr.and Mrs. Petrinou are a delight, and Vickie and Spiros, well, what can we say? Always there, always helpful, and excellent hosts. It is quite delightful to sit in the Virago and watch the world go by. I know there are other bars etc. in Alykes, but stick to the best, and you ain't gonna go wrong. I often sit on the beach and think "I'd love to go to Kefalonia" but I know that if I am there, I would be busting to get back to Alykes. See you in October.

   we had three delightful weeks in alykes last year, and  Paula and Jon said they were going home for  Christmas, but returnig to the G.D. in 2005. Can someone please tell us if they made it?

Ii can't think of a better place to eat,drink and just laze around. Both Wendy and me cant wait to take the family here. Paula, Jon and the Boys, especially our mate, Little Alan, were all great. We have been to Toms Place a couple of times in recent years with our family, and we have been looked after very well. service was good and food was excellent. No moans about waiting times here. If you want it faster use a microwave!

reference your queery regarding Beach House 2. Stayed there last October, and cannot fault it. Clean, good beds,secure, and good facilities. Would recommend Beach House 1 or 2 to anybody. See you all 11.5.06.

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Alykes at The Beach House, and we had some  really good meals at the Apollo. The food was excellent, as was the service and music. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody in search of a good Greek  or UK meal. Spot on.

re Mandy, whenever we stay at the Beach House, we have always been made very welcome. At the Virago , the drinks have always been excellent and served with  a laugh and a SMILE.Both Wendy and me have always enjoyed our stays, and don't want toleave at the end. We will see you on Sunday, Vicki and Spiros. Returned home on 20/5/12 after 2weeks @ Beach House 1. We had been to other places during the ensuing 5 years. Previously been to the Beach House1for about 28 visits since it was built, and I really don't know why we went anywhere else. We had 12 days of gorgeous weather, the family were absolutely great, Mr&mrs P senior were great, and Viki and Spiros, nothing was ever too much trouble.If you want a truly relaxing holiday,sea,shower,drinks and food all within 100 yards, is the best you will ever get,anywhere!!So relaxed and so happy. You might think this is a bit OTT, but it was sooo good. We'll be back. Wendy and David T.Rugby.
