We ate at Marios restaurant six of the seven nights we were in Kalamaki, so we obviously felt that the food was spot on.The LAMB KLEFTIKO and LAMB VAKHOS(house speciality) were my favourites, while my wife was extremely fond of the PORK SOFRITO. I would like to add that the remainder of the quite extensive menu looked just as appetising. Marios is ever the genial host(even driving me to our appartment one night when we forgot something, and offering to take us to the airport)and his staff were very helpful and friendly. We noticed that a lot of his customers were regular visitors, which is obviously a good reccomendation in itself.we are looking forward to our next trip to Kalamaki and to our next meals at Bakkus Grill.
has anybody out there got mario`s e-mail adress?we`re going back to zante in may and need to warn him to get plenty of sambuka in stock.cheers.
Just got back from a one week stay at DIAS. This must be the friendliest place to stay in Kalamaki. Labros and his team, especially nikos, leonardo and yiannis, are brilliant at their jobs, although all the free shots can be a bit much the morning after. The whole place is spotlessly clean and well organised, and the food in the restaurant must rate as among the best in Kalamaki. Thanks for a great holiday, look forward to seeing everyone soon.
The motto at the Dias is WE CARE MORE and this is certainly very apt.The service is excellent, the staff are first class and the food is exceptional. The spaghetti carbonara(according to my wife)is the best ever and the rest of the menu is not far behind. The strawberry crepes with ice cream, cooked in grand marnier and finished with caramelised sugar are something else.Best wishes to labros, nikos, leonardo, yiannis and all the staff. Have a great season, you deserve it.Hope to see you soon.Alan and Linda.
