Just came back from 2 weeks staying at the marelen hotel, absolutly wonderful time the hotel was really lovely and staff very friendly very close to beach which is really nice and sea is great to swim in, the only problem we found was swimming pool very deep there isnt a shallow end in the big pool which made it slightly harder the baby pool is ok but not big enough for our 4 year old who luckily can swim.  I would recomend eating out a oasis tree and merlis tavern both gorgeos food and merlis done free puddings which helped 2 save money. Both places food was really tasty, ate at mermaids after reading such good reviews but personally wouldnt rave about it at never visited it again food was ok but nothing special and arrived in 5 mins which meant it obv wasnt freshly cooked! Book trips with the local operatours they are very good and much cheaper we went on boat trip round whole island and it only cost us 40 euros for 2 adults and 2 children which was really cheap.  Would recomend this holiday to anyone if you have booked the marelen you will have a super time

After hearing great reviews of mermaids i was really looking forward to eating there, We ordered a special which was chicken in a pepper sauce, barbecue ribs and something else which i cant even remember, the meal arrived in 5mins which to me proved it is cooked in bulk and was ok but not exactly mind blowing! The ribs just fell apart which isnt how a rib should be the meat should have to be torn off. Only ate there the once childrens meals where great so were the puddings but our meal put us off.

Can not rate merlis high enough, the food was excellant varied menu and very tasty, free puddings every night which helps to keep the bill down and keeps my children very happy, We ended up eating here 4 times i had the special merlis spaghetti twice and would recomend this dish to anyone it was really scrummy, also the steak in special sauce is also worth ordering, on our last night we went there in a group of  8 and all of us licked our plate clean, the childrens spaghtti bolognaise is a really good portion and my 4 year old loved it

A group of eight of us (4 adults and 4 children) went to there greek night, this was a wonderful evening and well worth booking, the food was very tasty all the adults choose lamb and the children had spagetti bolognaise, chicken nuggets and pizza, also had wonderful puddings the chocolate cake came in the shape of a mouse and was very tasty, the dancing and entertainment was 1st class and was enjoyed by all of us.  When we ordered our bill it came with a free ltr of white wine which was a bonus, also 15% comes off your total bill so it was very reasonable
