When my girlfriend and I arrived we hated the beach as it is so narrow and impossible to walk along without getting wet or re-joining the road. But get your shoes off and get in. The water is very shallow and crystal clear. We had fish swimming round our feet. The water is or was warm and great just to sit and relax in.
We spent last day here after hiring a car. Fantastic beach, best by far that we saw or heard about. Soft sand plenty of space and beautiful clear water.
Very English although early July it wasn't full. Perfectly placed for Zante town £2 return by mini train 20 mins and 15 mins £8 to Laganas (Blackpool/Ibiza etc.) by taxi at night which is just a mad resort.
First week in July. MM was dead all the action was in Laganas. The cocktails were the worst we had on the island
Had the occasional half here and snacks on the way back from the beach. Sport on all the time although it was boring Wimbledon.zzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZ
Appartments clean and better than previous hols. Unfortunately we had no sea view but were at the quieter back. Short walk to the beach, supermarket (turn right at bottom of hill/main road)and bars. Crazy guy and women at supermarket. Dennis at the windmill is good sort but went off on one when some lads decided to spray the fire extinguisher at 3:00 am (a one off event)
You have to take a boat trip.....but beware we saw no dolphins or turtles!! The wooden boat is the best for definately, as it goes right into the blue cave (not the best cave of the tour). Make sure you are on the left of the boat otherwise you will be starring out to sea all voyage. The trip seems very long and sometimes boring. Take food and lots of sun tan cream, hat etc. Not as good if you can't swim, as the swim stops are just stops quite a way from the beaches.
