Hi, We returned from our second trip to Kalamaki, Zante on the 21st May. This trip we only went for 7 days but we still managed to visit this resturant 2 times and managed 3 trips to this resturant last year. It's fab. The food is the best Italian we have ever eaten, anywhere. We have never had a bad meal here. The staff are lovely and friendly, the service is quick, the prices fair and the view down onto the main road is great. We have visted each time with our 3 year old. The staff were very good with him and helped us both up and down the stairs with his buggy, quite often with him still in it! They have a great kids menu and each time our son wolfed down the food. I would advise everyone to eat here at least once.
Just back from our second trip to Kalamaki with our little boy. The food at this Taverna is excellent. It's hard not to order lots and end up so stuffed you can't manage dinner out. We've never had a bad meal and the cheese pies are do die for. My husband was quite partical to their Seafood Spagetti and my son loved their milkshakes. The staff are really friendly and even recognised us from our previous trip. It's a lovely spot to sit in the shade and watch time go by on the beach. Can't wait for our next visit.
This resturant was really good value and the portions huge. My husband had Kleftiko one night which was very tasty and I had a chicken souvlaki. It was the biggest plate of food I'd ever seen. I'm sure they must have used a whole chicken for this meal. I managed to eat most of it and it was very tasty. The staff are really friendly and great with kids. We visited this restuarant twice on this trip to Kalamaki and would definately recommend it.
I don't understand why this resturant is getting such bad markings. It's our second trip to Kalamaki and we have visited this resturant 4 times, we even got my parents and aunt and uncle to visit this resturant. The food is fab. We have tried so many different dishes among us it's hard to remember the names but we have never had a bad meal here. The setting is very beautiful and they have a small play area hidden away for the children which my son loved. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They even recognised us from our trip last year. The only problem I had was the tables felt quite high compaired to my chair. I am however a short person.
What fab villas. We got back from Zante on the 21st May 2007. We found out about the villas through my parents Susie and Keith Tanner, who stayed at the villas last May and September (2006). This was our second trip to Kalamaki. The first time in May 2006 we stayed at the Hotel Venus just up the road but spent most of our time at the villas with my mum and dad which is why we booked the villa this year. The villas are very spacious and kept very clean. Our son loved being able to run around the balacony and through the doors into different rooms. The villas have everything you could need ie, washing machine, kettle, toaster, mini stove and a very handy welcome pack. The only thing I would say would come in handy is a microwave. Tasos is a lovely bloke and his family took good care of us. His mum and dad are lovely. They don't speak a word of English but some how we all understood each other. His mum kept us stocked up with fresh eggs which my son loved and his father kept us stocked up with his homemade wine and gave my son numerous rides on his tractor which he thought was great. Anna (Tasos sister) owns the shop across the road and her and her family are delighful and made us feel very welcome. (Anna I promise to let you know if my bump was a boy or girl in August). The beach is under a 5 minute walk one way and the main strip just over a 10 minute walk the other direction. We used John and Joy's pool a few times which was very handy but I do agree getting in and out of the little pool is a little hardwork at times. I can't wait for our next stay. Thanks for a great stay.
