Levante Speedboat Trip - (Zante Excursions)

click to enlargeA trip with Captain Spiros and the crew of the Levante was recommended to us by Robert Wallace the owner of Freddie's Beach Bar in Tsilivi.  It turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday!

We took the morning trip to Navagio, the Blue Caves and then a spot of lunch in Agios Nikolaos.

The crew were very entertaining and kept everybodies spirits up throughout the excursion.

We were the first boat to arrive at Navagio and disembarked to enjoy the beach and snorkel in the azure waters.  As there were only 20 of us, we had plenty of space to enjoy the special atmosphere there.  It is truly worth a visit, particularly if you are a photography buff like me.

Onto the Blue Caves where due to its small size the Levante was able to enter the caves.  Captain Spiros gave an informative and fun commentary on the species there.  We even had the opportunity to swim.

Onto the lovely little harbour of Agios Nikolaos where we had the best part of an hour to do what we liked.  Most of us opted to eat at one of the very pretty restaurants.  The food was superb.

We enjoyed the trip so much we planned to return on another day for the afternoon excursion to go turtle watching and cruise around to Keri.  Unfortunately, we'd left it too late to book as we were returning home on the day of the next sailing.

Overall, I'd recommend a trip on the Levante to anyone visiting Zakynthos.

'Now get off my boat!'
