10/10This is a lovely restaurant, positioned right by the side of the beach overlooking the sea. It was very romantic each evening drinking wine whilst watching the sun go down over the mountains in the distance.
We found the food to be excellent, well presented on the plate and well priced.
You cannot really see the Asteria from the road, as it is set back from the main road, so they have a guy at the front trying to entice you in which I think would put some people off (then again that's how we found out about it). He is a funny bloke with a big toothy grin
Once you are in the restaurant the waiting staff are very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome and relaxed without being pushy at all. They were happy to answer all our questions without making us feel embarrased. We had a few drinks on the house and on our last visit they didn't charge for the dessert.

9/10This was our first time in Zante and just got back from a weeks holiday staying at Maria Apartments.
This is a wonderful self catering hotel - the rooms are nice and large and air conditioned. Room has all the basics you would expect (twin hob, kettle etc). Our room didn't have a telly, but that was a nice break for us to be honest. Staff are very friendly, they all say hello and ask you what you have been up to when they bump into you. The maids tidied and cleaned our room every day, whilst we were out, never expected that which I thought was a real bonus.The pool is fantastic - the music is played at just the right level so that you can still concentrate on your book. They serve food and drink from 8am-11pm. The veggie omelletes are the best in the world!
A word of warning is that it is a good 10-15 minute walk to the nearest shops, beach and restaurants which can feel like a bit of a hard trek when it is a really hot day.
