we stayed in kalamaki during aug 2000 and found that merlis was the best place to eat on the island, the staff are very friendly and very helpfull, they made us feel welcome everytime we visited anyone who reads this and visits will not be sorry, we will be there at the beginning of june 2001 and we will be eating at merlis during our holiday.

we visited lighthouse during august/september 2000 the food was great the place was welcoming, you could see your food being prepared fresh and it tasted realy good, but we forgot to book for sunday dinner which always gets fully booked early we won't make that mistake again in june2001 when we will be going back to kalamaki. graham & sandra kim & ian jeff & doreen.

we have never stayed in such bad accomodation as this one,it had dogs barking and cockerals crowing throughout the night every night we had one change of bedding in a fortnight and the rooms were filthy, although we had the use of the pool next door we were not welcome they even told kids to be quiet whilst using the pool and charged for the lounger if you did not but a drink the cleaner even used one of our parties toilet whilst they were out and never flushed it they even left used toilet tissue in the bin. one of our other party had the same when they first entered their room. Overall I would not recommend this accomodation to anyone. Graham & Sandra June 2001

I had made a comment above about this restaurant, it just goes to show what can change in under a year we felt as though we were being served by a used car salesman the atmosphere was bad the staff had change completely I will not be eating there again.
