Back from aother fab 10 days at Mavrias. Was great to see everyone again. Freddy was his usual attentive self and waited on me hand and foot the whole time - just as he does for everyone - what a guy !!!!
Have just managed to get some decent flights for August - so am back again for more fun and frolics.
Was great to see some faces of last year again too - especially Kathy from Glasgow - jammy bugger that she is maaged to swap her home flight and stay another 2 weeks. Hope you got home safely this weekend Kathy and really hope we meet up again in the future.
I took 2 friends this year - their first visit - they loved it - and one of them will definately be going again in May next year when I go.
Anyone who hasn't been here before - I can assure you that this place ( and Ive been going for 5 years now) is one of the best places to stay - its economic without losing the element of quality and service we all seek these days. The whole of the site is kept immaculate. The apartments are cleaned every day. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff and they are all so absolutely fabulous. Kyriakos ( owner of Mavrias apartments) and his wife are such lovely people and will do everything possible to make surue you enjoy a great holiday. If you need car hire speak to Kyriakos - he does special deals for his guests - his cars are good ( better than the others on offer in Tsilivi) ad he is always happy to help.
The pool and Pool bar are lovely and the snacks avalable at the Pool Bar are fine - no dearer than eating anywhere else - but best of all Freddy waits on you personally and nothing s too much to ask for.
Must go places to eat are Family restaurant which is straight over the road from the driveway into Mavrias - see Peter or Stephen - fab guys and the food is top notch. Also Benikos - great people and great food. If you fancy a stroll - go up the hill to Planos and go to Giorgios - see Billy - he is Freddies brother. The food is fab, the service is excellent and Billy is a lovely guy - his girlfriend Emma waits on you at breakfast in the Princess Hotel - lovely english girl.
The beach is an easy 10 minute stroll - all level - and there are plenty of beach bars there too.
A trip across to kefalonia is good - thirty odd euros from the tour shop up the street - lovely island - a bit different in some respects to Zakynthos.
All in all you cant beat this place so get your cases packed and your flights booked - you don't know what you are missing.
For those who have enquired and not had a reply from Kyriakos - I know he has had problems with his PC but it seems to be working again so Im sure you will hear from him soon. But if in doubt just ring him - his english is good and he will be happy to help.
Roll on August......
