Hired one of these, 'postman Pat' mobiles :))
very roomy, easy to drive, but so so lacking in a bit of oomph, 1st gear on the steep hills with only 2 on board is a bit much.
I would recommend Sunset Rentals, they are situated on the road to the beach that has Mesongi,Louros,GoldenSun&Kalamaki Beach Hotels on it(last on left heading for Laganas)

It doesn't look like much, but I would say it's a great little rental car. The tall body means there's plenty room for 4 adults but it manages to feel quite stable through the corners. Mine was the latest model which is probably a big improvement over the old one, from Sunset Rentals in Kalamaki, and it had very effective air conditioning which is why I've rated comfort as excellent. The small overall size combined with decently precise PAS and good brakes make it easy to drive on the twisty roads. It's very economical as well so don't bother filling the tank. The only downside is a very small boot and the engine is a bit weedy, you can feel it slow right down when you switch the air-conditioning on!
