Answer to question: it takes about 20 minutes maximum from the airport to ONiro and there are plenty of taxis right outside the airport.
I am staying at The Oniro in September and just wanted to know how far are the studios from the airport? How much would a taxi cost from airport to the studios approximately? Thanks, Ashley
Just arrived home from a 2 week stay here and i'd promised Nikos i'd leave a good report straight away! Its a lovely family run apartments, the sons Nikos and Costas are the people you'll deal with most. The apartments were very clean and spacious, plenty sunbeds round the pool and the beach is only 5 minutes away. Theres some nice beach side restaurants nearby but we preferred to go into tsilivi on an evening, its about 40 mins walk, and theres a bis service and taxis available too. If you go here you have to go to the Greek Night, more food than you could ever eat all cooked by the family. Thanks for a great holiday!
I stayed at these apartments last September, they are wonderful, as are the family who own them. They make you feel so welcome and you will not want to leave. There is a lovely Greek taverna just around the corner, come out of apartments, turn right, then first right, it is on the left hand side... traditional and loads of free Ouzo and Metaxa !! Dont try and pick of the menu though, just ask him what hes got !! and dont be in a hurry !!!!!
This was our second time over there..It is the best apartments by far..It is not only the place,it is also how special you are going to feel from the hospitality..Nicos and Costas are the best and we had great time with them..For sure we will be back...Don't miss the BBQ night...
The apartments are in a very nice area with the sea only 10 minutes walk from there..There is a supermarket outside of the apartments which belongs to the family..There are three Tavernas two of them they are typically Greek Tavernas ownned by local familys and they are down in the beach with excellent view, the name of the one is "Wave" and the other is "Ampula Beach " (the same name as the beach name)..The third one is on the road to the beach which owned by Albanians and they call it "Akrogiali"(you recognise it in one because always they try to pulls you in and its the only taverna that do this thing"
Anyway the place is quiet and ideal for relaxing if you like night life and croud Tsilivi center is not far away...
Nicos and Costas We Will Be Back...
oniro studios were lovely! i went with my boyfriend and another couple
and it was the best holiday i have had in a long time! the family are
friendly and very helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable! i
recommend it to everyone. tsilivi is a great place, the beach is
gorgeous and there is a wide range of restaurants and bars to go to!
we didn't want to come home!
hi to christos, ella, nikos, costas and natasha!
costas....would you like a cream cake??
xxxxx
Could you tell me if there is availability for 11th sept 05 for 2 adults (2 weeks) 25th sept."this weekend "?
I havent put anything here for a while, so this is really for Nick and family to keep your 10/10 ratings up!
By the way everyone, I forgot to mention, you can book direct to the Oniro by going to: http://www.onirostudios.gr/ - or book through med hotels - that way, you'll get a much better price!
If anyone ones to go to Zante on holiday, we cannot recommend the Oniro Studios enough. The whole family (Christos, Ella, Nickos, Costas & Natasha) are some of the most friendliest people you will ever hope to meet, the studios are clean and smart, the supermarket has an excellent variety and the bar is great (just don't have a Costas special if you want to remain upright ).
For anyone looking for a fantastic holiday look no further than the
oniro everybody is so well looked after by Nikos,
Costas, Chritos and the fantastic Ella We have had many great holidays
at the Oniro that we return at least once a year every year Cant wait
to see the family this year If you are looking for an unspoilt and
traditional Greek holiday make your way here. With Nikos at the helm
you will have a great time, The apartments are spotlessly clean
. Nick get Jeff a Mythos see you soon
Two things have changed since we first came here 3 years ago.The excellent supermarket where Nickos now works & the addition of Natashia,Ella's niece behind the bar. Both are welcome additions. The rest of the family are still the same,as friendly & welcoming as ever.Ella seems to have got a bit louder & Christos has shaved his mustouche off which makes him look 10 years younger.Nickos & Costas are as handsome & charming as ever!!
This time we booked a flight & booked the apartments directly with Nickos which worked out as excellent value for money for a family of four for 2 weeks.
This is quite a late addition to the comments people make about their stay with the Antonopoulos family! But believe it or not, this is the first i knew about being able to do this!! I actually stayed in the Oniro Apartments 2 years ago, and i honestly cannot think of a better holiday i have had. I made good friends with Nickos, and that made the holiday even better! Nickos also came to stay with me and family 2 years ago, but sadly we have lost touch. This year we were deciding where to go on holiday in the summer, and we were talking about coming here again, and i would absolutely guarantee to anyone, it is the most lovely place, with the most amazing family i have ever met!
I do hope Nickos will email me!! So i can tell him about our possible return to his place!!
Hope to hear back from you all! Kayleigh Irons
how much does it cost to rent 2 appartments that sleeps 4 for 2 weeks?
Have just returned after an excellent week, what a great holiday! Can't fault anything at the Oniro - such friendly people, excellent food and drinks, spotlessly clean, quiet area but beautiful scenery and only minutes from a quiet but great beach. Quite a few good tavernas within a few minutes walking distance, but certainly worth travelling around the island as so much to see - turtles, shipwreck, lovely coves, olive trees in abundance - just fantastic all round holiday with friendly hosts. Great to be there when Greece won Euro 2004 as well!!! Will be returning....
We just got back yesterday and we defniately enjoyed ourselves! It was the best holiday ever, the cleaners was brillian. They clean your room everyday and make the bed. Costa was just plain mad although he does do a good tom cruise impression.
We throught we will get eaten alive by the mosquito but we hardly got bitten at all. The location was just right is not too quite and is not too far from Tsilivi. There is a bus stop opposite the sweet corner going to the Town center where you could explore.
Also when you come out of oniro studio and turn right walk up to the "roast pig sigh" and walk down the path on your right again, you would come to a small stoney beach. You can find lots of thing like sea urchin!
Anyway, I would definately go back!
please does anybody know whether you can fly with argo to the oniro studios from alicante, spain?
We have just got back from the Oniro Studios, where Nikos has been constructing their own website for next year. The holiday was absolutely fantastic, our second time at the apartments. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, wine tasting before the Kampi Sunset, drinking cocktails, scuba diving etc.... Last year, we even saw dolphins on the Keri Cave boat trip as well as the turtles. For such a small island, there is plenty to do, we highly recommend Popeyes , where the waiters are lovely and the food is plentiful! (as anywhere in Greece, a meal for one is like a meal for three!!!)
Nikos and Costas, well, what can I say? Costas spent his time trying to get Paul drunk, I dont advise the Costas Special Cocktail, measures of alcohol seem to be non existent in any bar in Zakynthos and Costas isnt happy unless there is a tony bit of pinapple juice and the rest mainly mixed spirits!!!
We will definately be going back next year, they cant get rid of us now!!
I have just come back from a week at the Oniro apartments with my girlfriend. The apartment is family run by Ella and Christos (mama and papa) and their two sons nickos and costas. The family are there to great you and shake your hand as you arrive and are extremely friendly making you feel right at home as soon as you step off the coach. Ella and Christos don't speak much English but it is costas and Nickos you will be in contact with most and they both speak perfect English (Nickos can even do a good scouse accent as he visits England every year). The apartments are extremely clean and spacious for a Greek accommodation and the facilities are what you expect from a typical self-catering Greek holiday (fridge, freezer, hob, kettle, shower, safety deposit box etc.) The pool is a decent size with a bar/restaurant area next to it where you can purchase hot and cold food all day. There is also a supermarket next to the apartments that is run by the family (Nickos usually works in here) and you can buy virtually anything that you will ever need from this supermarket (e.g. toiletries, alcohol, fresh dairy products, and much much more). The small size of this apartment and its appeal to people means that if you like to meet people when on your holiday then it is very easy to socialise as everyone meets in the bar and the Greek night offers an opportunity to meet people too and also make a fool of yourself :) On our holiday we ended up with about 24 people sitting around one table all having a good laugh (none of us knew each other prior to this). The bar basically stays open until the last person goes to bed. Tsilivi is the nearest lively resort and it costs 6 euros to get there by taxi. It is possible to walk there, as it is downhill all the way, but this takes 45 minutes and walking back is not recommended as it is all uphill! There are loads of restaurants and bars to go to, my favourite being the Olive tree restaurant and the Mexican restaurant (can’t remember the name but there is only one anyway). After 11pm the Planet it the place to be, however, do not expect Ibiza, this resort is families and couples. You are not likely to find any gangs of girls or lads in this resort. If this is what you want then you need to go to Laganas. Taxis can go here for around 15 euros (£10 between 4 is only £2.50 each) and takes only 15 - 20 minutes. I had a great holiday and I would definately recommend these apartments for couples and families. I would also recommend the boat trip to see the turtles and the secluded beach, but the other excursions were not my cup of tea (on a coach all day and the free Greek night at the apartments was better than the excursion!). Also, when your there, my football shirt is the white Everton one above the bar next to Costas.
Me and my mum, dad and sister went to the Oniro apartments in 2002 it was by far the best holiday i have ever been on. We made great friends iwth Nickos and his family, and Nickos has been over ot England to stay with my family. I would love to go back nad i knwo we will definitely try ot in the future!wb
Excellent holiday in June 2003. Wonderful welcome from the family, super place, would highly recommend to anyone. Lots of friendly restaurants & bars within easy walk or short taxi-ride into Tsilivi for something more lively.
Just about to book again for 2004!!!!!!

Had a lovely time and the family are excellent people! Met lovely friends Suzie and Tova and recommend to anyone who wants a mixture of relaxation and fun.

Have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at oniro studios, the family create a great atmosphere and the environment is so relaxing.Greek night to be recomended.
What can i say that hasn't already been said? It is great man! The best holiday that my partner, my 7yr old son and myself have had. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for the excellent hospitallity given to us by Nicos,Costas,Ella and Christos. Apart from the owners, the rest of the families that you meet will soon turn into friends. Don't forget to try the greek night it's great man.(yammas).
Myself and my wife would strongly recommend the Oniro Studios. The location is extremely quiet, ensuring a relaxing holiday. A big "thank you" to Nicos and his family for their hospitality and creating a lovely and enjoyable holiday.
Just got back from 2 perfect weeks in the Oniro Studios (The Dream) and it was great man!!King Size! (That is for Nikos and geordie). The family are all lovely and extremely helpful people. The studios are very clean i would recommend the Oniro to anyone. We will certainly be going back as soon as possible as both my boyfriend and i miss it so much and all the lovely people we met. The people and the place certainly made the holiday what it was and would be suitable for anyone-families and couples. The cocktails are also really nice!!! Thanks to Christos, Nicos, Ella and Costas for a great holiday that we will never forget.
