I stayed at these apartments last September, they are wonderful, as are the family who own them. They make you feel so welcome and you will not want to leave. There is a lovely Greek taverna just around the corner, come out of apartments, turn right, then first right, it is on the left hand side... traditional and loads of free Ouzo and Metaxa !! Dont try and pick of the menu though, just ask him what hes got !! and dont be in a hurry !!!!!

I have just returned from two weeks at the Elpida... it was fantastic !!! The family are lovely, the rooms are clean.. and as for comments about Cockerals !!!! whats that all about !! I have also travelled an awful lot and have been to many places, however, i love Greece and the Greek people, they are so laid back and friendly, its a shame that some British appear to complain, over little things like shower curtain, or toasters in the room !! As for bugs, they are every where, even in England !! we also have dogs that bark during the night and keep us awake.. etc etc

I would not hesitate to go back again, given half the chance !! Would recommend it to anyone, it is not far out from the centre, just enough so that its not noisy. But beware.. if you try one of Spiros cocktails... they are lethal !!!!!

Had a cocktail here everynight of our holiday... wonderful friendly staff, even gave me his jumper to put on when i got a bit chilly !!!

Only found this at the end of our holiday, but still ate their twice !! Try the grilled shrimps !! they are huge prawns and wonderful, very friendly, and lovely food !!!

Had a meal here when the weather was not too good a bit windy, so the plastic covers were down, but it did not spoil the atmosphere, lovely and very good food.

Had a lovely meal in the Alkyonis. I had the spicy stuffed chillis for starters they were delicious ! All in all the whole meal was very good, would highly recommend it.

Try the stuffed tomatoes they are yummy ! Food was good, service very good. Would go back again.

Unfortunatly after having a lovely meal here in 2006, and returning with high expectations, I was very very disappointed. The meal was the worse we had in the two weeks we were there. I ordered pork and received beef, my partner had the Lamb Stifado, which was nothing but fat ! It was also the dearest meal of the holiday. I paid the bill and commented on the standard to the waiter who completly denied that it could have been fatty lamb !! obviously the offending dish of fat had already been taken away and disposed of. Shame because I had recommended this restaurant in the past, and now will not be going back again.

Ate at the Romanza and the Vagis, and must say was very impressed. The food was lovely, and the service very good. Possibly two of the best meals of our holiday. Thank you !

Only ever had lunch here while spending the day on the beach, but a wonderful setting, really good food and very large portions !! Great find !

Lovely restaurant, well worth the walk from Alykanas ! But be warned, it gets very very busy and while we were there people were queing up waiting for a table !

This was our regular stop off AFTER dinner. Just had to have a Pink Velvet cocktail !! To die for !!

Had our first drink and lunch here when we arrived this year, and still think its a lovely place ! The greek salad was lovely, also try and get to the Greek Night, I had heard all about it, but it was better than I expected, that was until I got picked up by a Greek dancer and spun around on his back !!! Not an evening to wear a skirt !!

Spent a couple of days relaxing by the pool, it was lovely and quite, and the staff were really friendly. Hope Jasmine and her kittens are all OK. See you all next year hopefully.

Have been calling in at the Zeus every night of my holiday for the last three years !! Cocktails are lovely, peanuts always welcome and the staff are fantastic. See you all again next year !!

Well another lovely two weeks at the Elpida, I didnt want to come home again ! The place is lovely, the family are fantastic, they make your holiday special. I cant wait to come back next year, when I will bring my son and his wife, my daughter and her hubbie, my other daughter and my grandchildren !!!

Hopefully will be able to meet up with some of the friends I have met here over the past 3 years as well.

Going back again this year 13th August for two weeks ! Cant wait! Just need to get the flights booked now !

Had another wonderful holiday at the Elpida. This is really a home from home. I am a solo traveller and this is one of the few places that I feel safe and relaxed, this is down to the family that own the Hotel. Spiros, Denis and Dennis go out of their way to make your holiday all you would want. The rooms are spacious and clean and they even provide a kettle if you want a cuppa in the morning ! They are on the outskirts of Alykanas, but a stones throw from all the bars and restaurants. A 10 min stroll to the local beach or a bit longer to Shoestring bay which is beautiful and well worth the walk. Lots of lovely restaurants around but the best by far, in my opinion, is Vrasaki ! The bar at the Elpida is a great place to meet people and make new friends,Lovely atmosphere and very friendly. While your there try the Spiros Special cocktail... but be warned !! Lovely atmosphere and very friendly. All in all a fantastic holiday and I cant wait for my next visit !

Visited Vrisaki again this year and very pleased to say nothing has changed ! Once again my favourite restaurant in the resort, I always have the first and last meal of my holiday here and many more inbetween ! Their meatballs are to die for ! The service is great and the atmosphere buzzing, cant wait to get back there again !

Love this bar Yannis always make you so welcome and his lovely cocktails are fantastic !! Cant wait to get back next year !
