Well, we just had to comment on this Brilliant Bar. We have been visiting for the past 10 years or so. Our children, Joy and Hannah feel it is their second home. Brilliant BBQ nights every Friday and wonderful hosts- Spiros, Julie and Paul and not forgetting the Boys Nicos and Pascalis. Can't wait for 25th July.- Sonia and Chris King, Macclesfield.
Have eaten at the Mantalena many many times- lovely food- authentic Greek cuisine. Children can play out the back so you can relax under the vines and have a good time.
I remember when this first opened and have visited each time we have been to Zakynthos. Really nice and really really clean- toilets are a pleasure to visit- I think someone goes in to clean between each person! Lovely cocktails and the best Margueritas I have tasted.
We like the Poseidon, it has had many facelifts over the years- generally the food is good and portions ample- try the big beans. Usually has a "character" on the door welcoming you in. Tables a bit close together sometimes.
Lovely beach- breezy after 3pm. Sea- can walk out forever without getting naughty bits wet- therefore great for kids.Lots of little fish and hermit crabs.
We have been at many diffent times of the year. It can be very busy in August due to the Italians and Greeks holidaying too. It is usually hot too but we have been once in August about 7 years ago and it rained nearly every day or was cold and overcast, so never bank on it. Last August was lovely - very hot and nice at night with a breeze. We have also been in May which was lovely, 2 days drizzle but then lovely- had a better tan then- as you could spend more time out in the sun and the flowers were beautiful.
