We stayed at the Alxeander Hotel back in july 99'. It was an absolutly fantastic holiday (7 lads on the raz). When we went, the hotel was run by Thompson who for some reason kept a low profile around the place (which is probably why it is a JMC hotel now!!) On the first morning after we arrived the rep was quick to coller us about several complants of noise coming from our apartments at about 4 the mornng. When we told him that we did'nt get in untill 8am and that we had proof because we did'nt collect our keys from the securiy guard till then, he quikly put the blame on someone else. When there was any complaints of noise, the reps would try to blame a group of lads or girls before even finding out any facts what so ever. A good tip for groups for lads or girls is to stick together in groups at night and keep to the main roads when walking home. Don't be tempted to take a shortcut as the back roads are badly lit. Try to keep noise to a minimum at night because the locals don't take any stick what so ever!!! The hotel is quite a walk from the night life, about 3/4 mile to the main bars. I went in july 99'. It was quality, easily the best bar to scope out before hitting Zero's. The music can be a bit pant's, but hey what do you go on holiday for? good music or a good time. Alot of people say it's a pain in the ass getting served at the bar, the best way is to learn alittle greek before you go, like asking for something, or saying hello and thank you. This always goes down well and they will remember you for it. Also don't wave your money at them, they'll only ignore you more.
