Demaras - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Keith & Sally

See Sheila Prenderville's instructions below to find this place on the road to Zante town. They also own a farm down near Vassilikos so they have a steady supply of fresh ingredients. Greek offerings well above par, very good Moussaka made with loving care! Grilled porterhouse steak was cut from joint displayed in fridge. Red Snapper - from fresh fish display - also excellent. If you order the 'Mixed Starters for 2' you won't need a main course!! I can never understand anyone complaining about the service in a Greek restaurant, this is Greece!!! Anyway, they were very attentive when we were there.

Tsilivi Taverna - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

I presune we are talking about the Tsilivi Taverna here, set back from the main road at the top end of the village. Voted our favourite until we discoverd its sister restaurant, The Korali. Very Greek (makes a change). Try the 'Greek Meal for Two'. Good selection, excellent value and superb grub.

Coralli - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Keith & Sally  (02 July 2002)

Full blown Taverna on the beach, at end of road opposite Mediteranee. Sister establishement to Tsilivi Taverna. Same menu but perhaps a few sous cheaper. Superb location on the beach. Airy and no traffic noise. Those on a budget might appreciate their daily 'packsge deal, with starter and wine bundled in with the cost of a main meal (varies each day).

Menir - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We did a tour of 'genuine' Greek restaurants too, and this one got a favoured return visit. Daily specials dsiplayed on board outside. We had Stifado, Lemon Chicken, both good. Kleftiko was bit dry, better at Tsilivi taverna (we're being picky here). Gets busy. Perhaps better to go later (9-9.30) and be a second shift eater if you can. If full keep walking to the Korali.

Gerakas Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Turtle beach, protected, no facilities, but look at how clear that water is!! Limited number of brollies otherwise take your own, and some water, to survive. Bare bums at the far end.

Tsilivi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Classic holiday beach. Not the prettiest beach you'll ever see but functions well. Can get crowded but is not noisy. Very shallow and warm water makes this superb for kids. Plenty of very reasonably priced beach bars (except one which isn't, can't remember name, you'll soon find out).
