Went to Kalamaki last year- very nice. We are going back at the end of August this year( this time with our 15 year old daughter) and will be staying at the Antonis Apartments.Is anyone one else going in August with teenage girls ?

Went there October 2001. Had excellent time . We are returning again mid August for 2 weeks with our 15 year old daughter. If there are anmy other people that will be in Kalamaki at the same time as us with teenage girls, would be interested to hear from you.

This was our 2nd visit to Kalamaki.The bar staff in Down Under were great,but our visit there this time was ruined by the arrogant, obnoxious "skippy" who does not know when to stop with his larking about( which can be fun up to a point). We sat in the bar and he came behind me and tipped my chair right back leaving me stuck, chair on the floor and legs in the air. He then walked off. When my boyfriend suggested that it was a bit of a silly thing to do, we were advised that "anything goes in Down under, that he had been working there for 3 years , and that if we did not like it we could F--- O--". We naturally finished our drinks and left, along with the people in the next two tables. We then had many a good night in Laganas and the Cava D`Ora where we had a laugh but were not insulted!!

We got a taxi to Zante Town and were very unimpressed.After walking through the dirty , smelly town we found the new shops that some of the tour guides were raving about. The shopkeepers here seemed very unfriendly and their prices were extortionate- many of the duty free items that the cosmetic shops were offering are cheaper in England, so beware !

Just back from Antonis Apartments. Stayed in white block. Excellent accomodation.Friendly staff. Good for families- our 15 year old enjoyed very much, great beach and lots of bars and restaurants, although prices have increased there since the euro.Keep passing on that electric fan !

What has happened to Angels bar? Went to Kalamaki in October 2001 and it had great character and real lively staff. Just got back this time - the Angels have been taken out,sociable round tables replaced with rigid tables with stools ,and the fun staff replaced. No wonder it was empty most nights !

Used Thomas Cook for 1st time. Very impressed in their service compared to other leading travel agents that we had previously used.

Very friendly staff. Good food and value for money. Have eaten here for two years now and will return again.

The best breakfast in Kalamaki ! Great meals too- and you can buy a glass of house wine instead of a whole bottle- good value too.

Great bar, great atmosphere, good value, fun people, and air conditioning and refurbishment too ! What more can I say !

Just back from the Admiral.Good basic accomodation near bars etc. Went to the boring welcome meeting where the rep droned on & on about herself & the trips that you could go on to get her commission. Failed to mention lots of things including the lovely Kalamaki Beach (near Crystal Beach Hotel in Kalamaki).9 euros in a taxi from Argassi or a 1 hour and half walk.

Also used the sunbeds in apartments near beach as quieter. Cava D ora & Antonis Apartments in Kalamaki also have nice pools that you are welcome to use.

Was horrified to see that this is now a chinese!!! Glad that I read the comment about the relocation to Laganas - will go there on our next visit.
