Just got back having spent last week in May there.Had a fantastic time. Didnt see or hear any building work. Maybe someone had too much local wine!!!!!! Stayed at Zante Palace and strongly recommend it. One of our best holidays yet.

Its a long day but well worth it. We went on the ship called Mantelena which is the biggest and most sturdy.Make sure you take a jacket or something as its quite cold at the start of the trip with the sea wind (thats before it got up to about 40C!). Agree dont book with the rep you can get it cheaper in town.

We went on recommendation and i must say its was my least favorite place and we went to 7 different places in the week! Go to Ariadne - much better.
