Hello all at the Red Lion. If anyone reading this before 12 August visits here, can they ask Dimitri to email Jeff. Best bar in Tsilivi, best people to have as friends. Yiannis I WILL be back! Take care of the plumbing Yiannis :) Our 9th time here, I may as well just give Yiannis all my money on day one..Jeff + Kath.
Returned last week from Tsilivi, been going for about 12 years! I'm glad to say Panos never changes and neither does his restaraunt. We always get a wonderful welcome at the Koukos. The food is still very good and reasonably priced. It is just a pity that some of the other restaraunts and bars are now becoming indifferent and surly towards customers,(familiarity breeds contempt, maybe?). Tony, good luck with your trip to the UK with Katherine,I hope you have a good time.Kind regards to Paniotis and his family. From Kath and Jeff.
This is an answer to the previous persons question.... The basement apartments are situated beneath the apartments facing the main road. There are also some shops and a restaurant in front of them. The front door faces a courtyard and garden full of flowers and banana plants. I hope that is of some assistance for you.
We have been to Kalamaki two years running and we are going to return this August 2006. Virtually every night that we ate out we took the walk from the Athina apartments along to Bakkus Grill. It is well worth the walk as we found the food to be very good and always freshly cooked for you. Hence the occasional long wait to get your meal. I would rather wait longer for my meal than to be served food that has been re-heated in a microwave oven, which we have personally seen on visiting other restaurants. Mario and his wife Olfa and the cook Linda are wonderful people, nothing is too much trouble for them. Looking forward to our visit in 2 weeks time.
I cannot understand how this restaurant has only been rated 4/10 ! The rating system does not seem to change when you have submitted your comments. Anyway, I would give it 10 out of 10.
What a wonderful place to have a night out. All of the staff are great, friendly, helpful and good mates to know and talk with. Spent our evenings (and early morning) here every night for the fortnight in June and September! Hope the wine is brewing well Jim! Keep me a tester for next year. Sue and Jim thanks for the lifts down the long road.Tom, will you please hang on to some of that outstanding olive oil till we return?
As always, a very welcoming place to eat. Food is excellent, prices are the best (cheapest!) of any place along the strip.Every time we visit Time Out it is always occupied by regular visitors, who know where to go for a good meal. There are the usual local diners who come for their take-away meals, that has to be a good recommendation in my opinion.
Amelia - I think you'll find that the 3rd bed is a pull-out from underneath 1 of the other beds.
We stayed here 2 wks in June 2011, (2 of us) but I did notice what looked like another bed underneath.
Lovely place to stay, Howard and Lindsay nice people. Owner Joanna likewise, very friendly person.
Hope this is of help to you.
