Our normal style holiday is 14 days in the sun, either at the pool or on the beach. Then we take great delight in getting ready for a night out and picking a different restaurant each night.We have always said that we would never holiday anywhere twice (there is a big world out there!) This year we have broken all our own rules!! We stayed at the Cavo D'oro 17/07/02 - 31/07/02 and on 02/08/02 we booked to return next year. On the first night of this years holiday we ate at one of the local restaurants,the second night we ate at the Poolside Bar/Restaurant of the Cavo D'oro and there we ate for the rest of the holiday! So what caused us to break the pattern - Harry (Lambis) ,George , Andreas and Demitris. Harry owns/runs the poolside bar, George and Andreas (Harrys nephews) served the food and drinks, and Dimitris cooked a variety of superb meals both in quality and quantity. There is a Sign on the bar that reads " There are no strangers here , Just friends that have not met yet." This message seems to break down the normal barriers some of us Brits hide behind and "strangers" soon became "Friends". See you all again soon!!! Young Man & Old Woman.

Ive given Airtours the Thumbs up and all ratings as excellent because on the whole i find them to be a super company - BUT we went to the rep show A NIGHT AT THE OSCARS and found it to be very below par ( in fact we walked out at half time). Previous shows on other had been great! anyone got any comments on A NIGHT AT THE OSCARS??

Forget the catagories that you have to click on for ratings,They should be....food excellent,.... value for money excellent,.... drinks excellent,staff excellent etc...it hasnt got the nightclub buzz but you can enjoy a good meal and drink in great company until its time to crawl to bed.Then the next day you can stagger over and get the best value breakfast.

Hi the Harry and the Gang!
This was our second holiday at the Cavo Doro (comments from last year are on previous pages) and its not our normal thing to return to a destination that we have already visited. We enjoyed last year so much we broke the rules and went back. What a great decision that was!!! Everyone remembered us! (reception,maid,gardener,the owner,the local supermarket, even the turtles!).
Harry and the crew at the Pool Bar are amazing and again made the holiday.
OK, its the sun and the sea that we holiday for, but the food and the drinks are just as important. At Harry's bar the Breakfast,Snacks & Meals have always been supurb!!The value for money can't be beaten!!
