Weak Bladders Day!! If ou only do one trip on your hols it MUST be this one! What an excellent day out made all the better by Paul our brilliant guide - his knowledge of the island and its many stories makes this day one to remeber. Visiting the whole island in one day was by far the best way to see everything, ruined house, cheese mountains, turtle island, kaki raki, local artists, ouzo wells, and of course the ship wreck. Word to the wise - take money for lunch, trainers (ship wreck is down hill on loose ground) water and swimming stuff(all stuff our brilliant rep forgot to mention!). Thank again guys for agreat day out - its all we could talk about for the rest of out hols and I can't wait to get the pictures developed. xxx
Stayed second two weeks of September. Typical Greek accomodation although a bit cleaner than have had in the past - maid service was every day and they were very thorough. Apartment was facing the road which needless to say was very noisy all night. Just get thru the drunks coming home and then the dustmen start up. But then, holidays are for resting so we just fell asleep on the sun beds in the day. You can use the pools at Captains and Commodores - dont bother with Commodors as it doesnt get any sun, hence why the pool at Admirals gets quite busy. The entertainement people had chnaged since most of the other comments put on - Jim Bob and JoJo we up for those wanting to join in but would leave you alone if you didn't. Bingo, quiz and kareoke every night - a bit wearing but you are no obliged to stay and watch. Hotel people were great, we had a leak in the bathroom which turned out to be major problem (gut the bathroom upstairs before they can sort!)but they really tried to get it sorted for us. All in all a great place and good all round resort but not quite enough to pull us back again.
