this is not only the best taverna on zante but the best for value/quality on all the islands of Greece that I've been to - more than a few.For the last 2 years I've returned to Kalamaki primarily because of Dennis and his staff - this really says it all

The two brothers are shy - I think, I can understand the comments that have been made but for some reason I like this place

I don't know their names (..will find out next year) but the couple that run this bar have the warmest of smiles and are a delight.Strongly suggest that you see for yourself

Excellent value, very clean and roomy studios with all that you need. Athina and her staff are second to none.

Must have been a one off for me judging by the rest of the comments - the food was very poor as if it was simply microwaved - the problem could well be that the menu is too extensive for them to provide quality - the staff tho' are excellent and the atmosphere is good - breakfasts are great

Have found out their names - see last years comment - they are a delight - this place deserves to succeed and I very much hope it does

Great food,agree that the Kleftico is superb, nice staff if your' looking for a change to Mikaelos'- which for me is still the best - anywhere in the islands then this place is well worth trying - staff are good people

I keep going back to this place, it is as per the name a pleasant oasis, no gimmicks, nice surroundings, smooth music, genuine guys running it who at first blush may seem a little cool but they are ok, and with good cocktails. Not for the, forgive me, young set perhaps but worth a try

It is on the Zante road on the left about 1/3m from the 'T' junction of the two main drags, a better way might be to turn right after walking past the Dias on the airport road - its worth the effort to find it, I can't praise it enough - try the meze/mixed starters for two and if you have had better value elsewhere let me know

worth trying out, has an air of authenticity about it,kleftico in filo pastry is unusual but a must as is either the artichoke/asparagus (I forget which) siciliana starter - a good cange to Michaelos which, in my view, cannot be surpassed

ok I'm biased as like Julie I am afflicted in the sense that we are both Geordies but I do recommend this concern - with one caveat and that is that don't hire the Samurai unless you can drive a tank
