We are going to the daisy studios on July 13th for our honeymoon, Anything we should no about?
Whats the best restaurant and bars near by?
Going to Tsilivi on July 13th on our Honeymoon and staying at the Daisy studios, Any tips on places to go, eat and drink?
This was the highlight of our honeymoon, The sea was like a lake and the views were fantastic, We booked throu our kosmar rep which we later found out we paid well over the odds we paid 28 euros each but if we had gone to a travel agent on the island it would have been around 15-20 euros, We had 3 swim stops but you are on the boat for about 8 hours in total so be ready for a long day and be carefull of the sun as it feels a bit chilly with the sea breeze but it was about 110 degrees and you would'nt have belived it.
We were at the Daisy from 13th to 20th on our honeymoon and how anybody can not like these apartments is a joke, Like the lady below says the greek family just keep them selves to them selves but if you talk to them they are very pleasent and there oldest daughter is a stunner (sorry wife, The location of the place is great you are 5 mins from beach, 5 mins from the centre. The people who run the pool bar are the most friendly bunch you could wish to meet, Ted is a star in his own right he would would walk over a hot coals if it would make you happy. They also sell nice snacks at the bar and the bear is cheep, But if you are drinking by the pool in the day go to the shop next door and buy your beer there and take it back, Amstel was 2 euros at the bar and 90 cents at the shop. A nice eating place is petra which is on the way to the town from the daisy very nice people.
all in all i think we will go back to the daisy next year as it was that good.
Not to bad, I know what people mean when they say the waiter just slurred at you, But the food was ok, The place to go is just round the corner past camelot is Petra, Never had a bad meal once in 4 visits and the owner is so friendly.
We was going to go in but the guy on the door is a pain and dont let you walk past without bugging you.
Just to let everyone know the place was shut down about a week and a half ago due to not having a liecense. Tragic
excellent food and service with no hard sell on the door and the guy who rings the bell on entry and exit is a funny feller the owner i think.
going again next year liked it that much.
Just a quick tip for the airport, Yes it is like a port-a-cabin but it aint that bad, But if you fancy a beer dont go to the bar in departures as it will cost you 3 euros for half a pint walk up the stairs into the duty free shop and you can buy 6 half pint cans for 2.90 euros (Myoths) i think it was called local brew. Also the Mcdonalds in the town is now closed due to not having a liecense.
In reply in Angie, Yes you can hire deposit boxes at all hotels and fans from any shop, Which are cheaper than the hotels. Taxi from the airport is around 8-10 euros, Enjoy your holiday!
In response to Alan Pritchett, The Daisy studios are great, You are five mins walk from the centre which means a good nights sleep, The pool is great and the pool bar is very freindly, Ted works all day and then craig at night both will do anything for you. As you are walking to the centre you will pass a place called Petra, Which is not on any listings, But the food is great.
To Maggie,
There is no air-con but fans can be hired from Daisy, But were cheaper at the shop next door.
