"Be afraid, be very afraid", as we wrote in the log book at the end of our trip. This was a fantastic day. We were a little worried about the cost (50 Euro for adults and 25 Euro for kids), but we had a fantastic time.
We visited Keri Lighthouse, Keri Caves, Shipwreck bay, Long Beach island, an old olive press, amongst other fantastic inland scenery.
Best of all were the water pistol and water fights between the two jeeps. You get very, very wet and it takes you back to being a 12-year-old again.
Andreas and Les, our two drivers, were very good and kept us informed on where we were going and made sure we were well looked after.
If you have kids, you must book this trip. The kids loved every minute of it and wanted to go again the following day.
Take lots of sun cream, a good hat and a swimming costume and enjoy.
Have I said enough?
Sorry, forgot to answer previous question. You can book this by sending an E-Mail to: floca@aias.gr
Alternatively there are branches in Argassi, Tisilivi, Amoudi and Laganas
Just come back from Argassi.
Unfortunately the Fun Castle and Reptile House have moved to Laganas. We walked all the way from Argassi (aout 30 minutes) and there were no signs to say they were closed on the road. Having walked up the hill we were told they were closed and had moved.
So do not make the same mistake as us.
No doubt it is very good but IT IS NOT IN ARGASSI
This must be one of the worst airports in the world!
Considering the amount they charge in airport tax on every single tourist it is a disgrace to be treated like cattle.
No shelter, little information, very little seating.
On the way in, we waited for an hour and a half for our luggage to catch us up.
On the way back, we had to queue up outside waiting to be called in. Then when we had booked in our luggage we had to queue back up outside to get through passport control.
Thank goodness we did not have to wait in the lounge!!!!!
Come on, this is an EU country, not the third world.
Kaminia beach is about 5km south of Argassi. We walked from Argassi. Our guide book said it was only 2km but I think 5-6 is a better figure. It took us about an hour. The signposts are all wrong!! The first signpost says 0.5km and the next one says 2km. I think someone has been moving them around.
The beach was very good, served by two beach side bars. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free to patrons.
The beach had few people on it and the waves were great fun.
Our two boys had a great time and we managed to convince them to walk back home
We enjoyed this trip. First visted Keri Caves where we swam for about ten minutes. Next turtle island where we stayed for about an hour. Then turtle spotting. Only saw one turtle and then the captain returned us to port.
Glass bottom is a bit of a disappointment. It really means 8 portholes on each side about 10" across. We never bothered staying downstairs much apart from about 5 minutes watching the fish.
I think the trip cost us 16 euro for adults and 8 euros for kids. Obviously the prices seem to vary a bit so haggle!
