By Greek standards, this complex is definitely 5 star! We asked for a pool view but luckily got an upper floor apartment facing the sea!.. (Rooms 201>204/301>304/214>217/314>317) It was difficult forcing ourselves off the balcony each day but we did and the pool area was brilliant offering a breeze off the sea. Rooftop bar was a great place to finish off the evenings and thanks to George the barman for his entertainment! Island is beautiful so get a jeep and don't miss the sunsets at Kampi...Breath taking!
Our favourite restaurant was Venetsiana, up past the Red Lion, but there are lots to choose from including a typical greek restaurant opposite Argassi Beach Hotel(owner is a scream!)
Wonderful holiday...we'll be back!
Addition to yesterdays entry, if you're a beach bum, you may be disappointed with the beach outside the apartments but invest in a pair of strap on sandals(7 euros)to get you across the band of shingle and you come to a lovely sandbank about 50m out which is still only waist deep...so the water is warm! Otherwise, walk towards Argassi Beach Hotel(500m)to find a sandy stretch or a bus to St.Nicks beach for the real mcCoy! (see photos)
Or just stay in the pool...it's great!
Hired a Kia Sportage for 3 days from Argassi and had a great time touring the island! It combined comfort and performance and we also asked for a canopy just to keep the sun off the girl's heads in mid afternoon.
My mate normally has a car with aircon but now he's totally converted to 4x4 driving...it's also good for those steep tracks into the quiet coves that you find on the west coast.
Can't wait for next time! (see photo)
