Porto Iliessa Hotel

Just back from 2 weeks in Porto Iliessa Apartment s and couldnt fault it great location ,good pool ,bar ok but ur right in middle of Argassi so loads of bars and restuarants on ur door step and right beside the sea .Highly recomended.

Stayed here 12 times! Its location and quality are excellent. The views across to the mainland are priceless. We will be back.

Just stayed here for 1 week with my daughter and 2 teenage grandaughters after a disastrous start having booked in the Papillon Apartments which were disgusting - we booked ourselves into here as we had no help whatsover from our rep from Co-operative Travel. The staff and manager were very helpful and sympathetic and gave us a fabulous apartment with sea view and side pool view. It was spotlessly clean with fresh towels everyday and bedding changed mid week. The pool area was very peaceful with a reasonably price poolside bar/cafe. The view f rom the roof top terrace was magnificent. I would highly recommend staying here - we will be going back again booking directly with them as they gave us a good deal. They saved the day on what could have turned out to be a 'Holiday from Hell'.

Can any1tell me anything about this hotel Please...

Stayed in Porto Iliessa Apartments first two weeks in August couldn't fault them. We had a two bedroomed apartment which were very spacious, with lots of storage space, free airconditioning and two balconies with a pool view and side sea view. The maids were in every day and bedding and towels were changed twice a week. Pool was lovely as was the pool bar and top bar, with snacks, ice lollies/cream and drinks reasonably priced. Out the poolside of the apartments you went straight on to the small beach, don't be put off by the beach it is small and a little bit rocky when you first go in but the sea is clean and warm with water sports if you want them. The reception staff are all really nice and speak good English and they tell you what the temperature is that day 47o on one of our hotter days (hot hot hot!) All in all the apartments are really nice and right in the centre of argassi next to the numerous restaurants and bars.

I STAYED HERE FOR 10 DAYS, AND WISH I HAD STAYED FOR 20. AS YOU WALK THROUGH THE RECEPTION AND GO TO THE POOL AREA, YOUR BREATH WILL BE TAKEN AWAY, YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN. THE BEACH IS SMALL AND THERE WERE ROCKS IN THE WATER BUT ONLY FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, BUT THE SEA IS SO WARM AND LOTS  FISH TO SEE IF YOUR SNORKELING. I FLOATED AROUND FOR AGES ON MY SUNLOUNGER IT WAS BLISS. THE HOTEL IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE BARS AND CLUBS & RESTURAUNTS, BUT AT NIGHT YOU CAN'T HEAR THEM IN THE HOTEL. ODI WAS AT THE ROOFTOP BAR AND A GREAT LAUGH, A TOP BLOKE. DON'T FALL FOR THE FREE TEQUILA SHOT AS ITS JUST WATER HEHEHE BUT THE EXPRESSIONS THAT PEOPLE PUT ON ARE HILARIOUS.

Great apartments in a location to suit everyone.  Great sea views from wherever your apartment is situated within the hotel.  Very clean and friendly staff on the reception (apart from one man who was always asleep!! Bless him!!) Fantastic pool (deepest in Argassi - Apparently!!) However we do agree with other comments that the beach is not exactly ideal due to it being shingle beach but hey whos to complain!!! We do however disagree with some comments stating that the roof top bar was loud.  Our apartment was directly opposite the door to the bar and we never heard the musicat all!!

  Reading the comments on here and see that people are wary of the beach, yes its small and not very sandy but do not worry as Zante has plenty of fabulous sandy beaches to go to....the ever popular St Nicks beach wich has a daily bus service from each resort and its free!! There is the small catch that to get back on you have to have the ticket that you receive when you purchase a lounger but at around 5 euros for lounger&parasol its a bargain!!! The beach has every water sport you can imagine and even a masseus if you feel like splashing out..........so to those who are worrying about the beach dont!! you'll love argassi theres something for everyone!! Have a good one.

Thats the same situation with us, we was suppesed to go 2 xenos kamars beach, but got moved to this one, we go on sunday and lookin forward 2 it x

We got moved to these apartments by chance as our booked apartments got double booked but we loved it. The rooms wear cleaned everyday and new sheets were put on the beds. The hotel was in a great location with all the restrants and bars on your doorstep. Also you wear on the directly on the beach. All be it, it was a rubbish beach but the pool was fantastic with plenty of sunloungers and a pool side bar that was open all day. the roof top bar had some fantastic veiws of the pool and sea. The only down side to it was the night time receptionist who from night 1 tryed to sell us a trip with his brothers travel company and wen we said to him that we were not intrested he went in the huff with us and would trough our key at us at night. But apart friom him it was a great hotel.

Been to these apartments 3 times now and they are fab and so central to everything, yeah the beach isn't great, but who needs a beach when the pool is excellent and really big. The beach is still sunbatheable further down from the hotel but the island is full of beautifull beaches.

The beach is ok.... very narrow but the hotel has direct access onto it. It is very quiet and there is enough room to put you beach towel...........but its not white sand and it doesn't run for miles.  To be honest... the poolside is so nice you won't bother with the beach.  Enjoy your stay... you will love it!

Please do not listen to any negative comments. This hotel is so beautiful. It's the type you will show your friends in the brochure and the type where you can sit and watch pink sunsets from your balcony! It is very beautiful and everyone is helpful. We are dying to go back!

APARTMENTS VERY SPACIOUS AND CLEAN,POOLSIDE KEPT VERY CLEAN BY YANNI THE HANDY MAN, WHO IS A VERY FRIENDLY GUY, WE HAVE STAYED THERE 3 TIMES OVER THE YEARS , AND FIND IT A VERY WELL RUN PLACE, TIMOS THE OWNER , ALWAYS CHECKING AROUND THE WHOLE HOTEL TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT FOR HIS GUESTS.ODI THE BARMAN WHO WORKS IN THE ROOFTOP BAR IS THE BEST, NEVER A DULL MOMENT ALWAYS THERE TO MAKE WHATEVER COCKTAIL YOU LIKE .PLAYS GOOD MUSIC AND VERY HELPFUL NOTHING TO MUCH BOTHER. ALSO TOLLIS WHO WORKS NIGHTS ON RECEPTION 

just got back from these appartments 12 jun 2005 and all i can say about them is "SUPERB" they really are the staff are really freindly and oddie in the roof bar is blinding me and my partner were up there every night untill late (about 0400) the people we met there would have to agree ..........paul,sharon,sean,nick,jullie,and steve we had some mad nights..

I had read some of the comments about this accommodation before I went and have to say how bitterly dissappointed I was when I got there. We did stay at the end of the season and our apartment had obviously been shut up for some time before we got there, it was damp and smelled awful. The toilet was filthy but had the band across to say that it had been disinfected.....PLEASE!!! The kitchen was dreadful so much so I did not even boil a kettle in it. The rep who came back with me to see it when I complained, left a package for me at the reception. It was a couple of plug in air fresheners. I had to find out where the smell was coming from so after a little searching I found soiled underwear down the side of the dressing table. If this room had been cleaned properly then this would have been found then, so nobody can tell me that this accommodation is clean. George in the bar is lovely as is Sophia at the pool bar. The blonde receptionist (I never got her name) was rude and the Manager!!What an arrogant little man he is, extremely unhelpful and totally obnoxious. I shall never return to this accommodation and I shall never recommend it either.

i thought the porto iliessa was a great place to stay for any type of person.
The apartments were very clean as they were cleaned every day
in your apartment at night it was very quite but if you wanted some night life all you had to do is walk sraight out of reception. sometimes the pool bar music can get a bit to much especially if your are a family or a couple looking for a quiet holiday.

they are great with kids especially george in the roof top bar :-p

i am 15 and i thought it was a great place to be and go on holiday i am hopeing to go back soon (well atleast it is warm over there(LOL))

Hi to everyone, i am going to the porto iliessa aparments on 1-8-04... can anyone enlighten me?... btw first time to zante and travelling with wife, 16 and 9 year old daughters.

me and my family went on the 4rth july 2004 and it wis brilliant i would say that the best place their is APOLLO PUB it is an english bar and it is class guys their r really fun

This was the best holiday ever! Me and my boyf went in sept 02 and had the most fantastic time. Odi at the pool bar was great! Don't believe anything about the food. We ate his tuna baguettes everyday and wish we could have taken him home to make us them everyday! The hotel is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The maids were brill, came round every day and the receptionist during the day was very helpful
However do listen to the comments about JMC reps. Never book a trip through them. Especially to Athens. They stick you a a completely horrible hotel for the night and take you on a red hot coach round the city fearing for your life in the wild traffic for hours with a non english guide that we couldnt understand. Awful, one of our worst experiences.
Argassi is great though. Make sure you visit the man in the magic mushroom and watch hi make fire and play with lizards! The reptile house was supposed to be great even though we didnt get a chance to go. Shipwreck bay is great too. Dont bother looking for the turtles unless its the right season! They are invisible for most of the year!
The best restaurant is the Picadilly or the little chinese place next to the green frog. Erato next door is not so nice though.
Best Holiday ever! Go there now!

came back on the 19th october from our second time here at the porto iliessa and loved every minute of it!the staff are so friendly-george & tollis good luck in the future!il be working over here next summer either as a lifeguard or at the red lion (best pub ever!!!) so il drop in and say hello.we should be back next year so see you soon!!! loadza love emma!!! xxx
