Came to Alykanas 2 years ago , due out again in Sept. 2003 . The shoestring will be on our list , couldn't get enough of it last time , excellent food , well worth the extra cost. Look forward to seeing Tossos & Co. once again.

Came to Zante in Sept. 2001 . Amazed at the small airport . But as long as you are prepared for it , it's not to bad. Does depend on the timing of your flight unfortunately. There is only one carousel and it can take forever for your luggage to come through. But don't panic the rep will not leave without you ....I hope! At departure the reps do work very hard to ensure you can get through as quickly as possible and will usually explain the crack before you get there. On departure we froze drinks the day before so they would stay cool for some time, also snacks are a must. If you get a seat in departure lounge then erect barbwire fence around it 'cause it will get taken if you lift your backside just a few inches! Families with young kids i feel sorry for , it can be very telling on the little ones. Keep a tight hold on your little kids as they can get swept away in the crowd, especially on arrivals, without you realising. As for the toilets, well I quite agree with the comments on here, best take some antiseptic wipes with you for hands and also your own tissue as there is usually shortage of that! We are due out in 2 weeks time again and not really bothered about the airport. We had a fantastic time before and looking forward to another great time. Just the first hurdle to get past then ENJOY !

The rating below is not really true , we managed it ok .

We had filled rolls from here one lunch time which were very nice.
We decided to try an evening meal. Big mistake! Should call this "The Greasy Spoon" Everything that was deep fried ( chips , scampi etc.) was absolutely swimming with grease. Their deep fat fryers were way overdue for an oil change! One of our party was quite ill after eating here, no wonder the filled rolls were nice , can't deep fry salad. Don't know if they were having off day or what but regarding other comments here they must have. Avoid at all cost!

The waiters here were more interested in the talent in or passing the restauraunt. That was the reason they got some of our orders wrong . Place needed a good clean. Toilets smelly , saw one waiter come out of toilet not wash hands then serve customer.

Well Tassos & Co. what can we say except thank you for the excellent food & service we received at your restaurant. your restaurant is without a doubt the best in the area.

People, find this place early enough and you will not eat elsewhere!

Swordfish steak to die for......in fact everything on their menu is !

Look out for the gekkos on the ceiling in the evening. Eat well!

All that needs to be said is that a lot of locals eat here , very well run and very good prices. Take aways as well!

Aggelis is top man . after submiting booking on line he phoned me up in Wales to say he would deliver vehicle to Alykanas etc.. hired air con Zafira very good price, unbeatable with other firms. Everything in the price he quoted , no extra . Extra driver 3 euros per day. delivered vehicle dead on the time he said he would.
Well recommended.

Well we cracked it again , nearly hour and half wait for luggage on arrival, but what the hell we had great holiday. Just over 20 minutes queuing for passport control on departure and less than half hour wait before boarding so in all , OK!
Hopefully by next visit the building work will be sorted and they will have more than one carousel!

Great little outing with the Trainaki ! Spiros is a happy man , always smiling , Dee works hard and deserves a payrise mate!

Great place , helpfull staff. Shame about noisy bar at nights especially when someone is murdering a song on kareoke night.
Sunbeds are a problem but then there is the beach but you have to pay 7 euros for 2 beds and parasole. Maids work hard , clean every day and fresh towels and sheets every 2 days, reception staff really helpfull.

Forgot to mention luggage weights. guy before us had a huge case that was 43 kilos ! They did not bat an eyelid! Our luggage was over to but the checkin girl was not bothered .

Yes you are right , one of the party was terminally ill but has been for 11 years , her illness did not spoil anyones holiday thanks , just that meal on that one night made her ill. The rest of the party were not impressed either and they were not terminally ill.
