Myself and my girlfriend just back from 2 weeks here and this is what we thought of it.
Good points.
- Its close to all the nightlife/amenities so if your happy to stay in Argassi no need for taxis.
- The bar in the Hotel is good, we always ended up there at the end of the night .
- All the hotel staff are friendly.
- The beach at the end of the garden is nice.
Bad points.
- The hotel is on the main road, so bring your ear plugs.
- Our room was very, very small and basic. The bed was tiny i'm 5ft 10" and my feet were nearly over the end.
- Absolutely no self catering facilities in the room whatsoever, there was only one drinking glass in the room for 2 people when we got there. If even there was a jug kettle and cups in the room it would have made a big difference.
- Breakfast in the morning is very basic, if you like boiled eggs, diluted orange, rolls, stale dodgy tasting cornflakes then you'll be alright otherwise give it a miss.
- Free sun loungers around the pool very scarce and rickety. I think they prefer people to use the ones on the beach which were €6 for the day for 2.
BTW Do not refer students to Donna Carol at Bank of America as she is no longer a point of contact.
BTW the Germans don't have the monoply on hogging the sun loungers, going home one morning about 7am and met some sad gits heading for the pool to put there beach towels on the loungers and they were all English.
Overall it was ok but wouldn't go back to stay in the hotel again. There are apartments that are part of the hotel that looked better. Newly built and are back from the road so should be alot quieter.
Ate here one night and the food was dreadful. It arrived 5 minutes afer we ordered it freshly reheated from a microwave. We left most of it behind us. Give this one the big miss..
Went here one morning for breakfast, left after waiting for approx 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Wouldn't have minded if the place was busy but there was only approx 3 other tables occupied at the time. 2 waittresses working there and both of them ignored us, far too busy smoking and looking bored.
It was the best restaurant in Argassi that we tried.
Lovely food, good service and reasonably priced.
It gets very busy so if you don't get there by 8 you will have to queue. One suggestion for them would be if they had a bar area where you could have a drink while waiting.
Just back after 2 weeks and the first week was a disaster weather wise. So bad our hotel room was flooded 2 nights. 2nd week weather was beautiful. Lovely island.
