The signs outside the Restaurant claimed to offer the "best Breakfast in the whole of Kalamaki" and we weren't let down, the food being of a high standard and plenty of it! However, we arrived and there were already three, maybe four couples sat in the restaurant. We waited well over half an hour for any sign of food after ordering which I suppose is par for the course for the greek way of life, but certainly wouldn't be much fun if it was full to capacity and you were last to sit down. Nevertheless, good grub!
No comments on Babes or Hunks as I'm (nearly) a married bloke..
Just come back from a week in Kalamaki, 21st-28th Sep, and spent a couple of nights in the Angels Bar where the 'buy-two-cocktails-get-one-free offer' was a winner! Was disappointed with the 'music' (DJ Chesterfield, I think was his name) who 'cranked it up' after 11pm. Everybody promptly 'cranked off' elsewhere as hard-core, whistle blowing, eye popping rave just didn't work. Was also disappointed with the 'entertainment' as the bartenders threw ice (bloody big lumps an' all) around the place and generally acted like kids after one too many E-number fuelled kia-ora drinks. Hey ho...
Unfortunately we weren't impressed with Libra. If somebody mentioned the words 'Libra' and 'Professional' in the same sentence I'd take issue. My fiancee booked the holiday over the phone direct with Libra and was greeted with 'Awwwight darling' (imagine crude Billy Mitchell from Eastenders accent), the same character proceeding to comment on where we live when we gave our home address. Clown.
We were advised that our tickets had to be picked up from Manchester Terminal 1 (late booking). WRONG. We should have been in Terminal 2.
On arrival at Zante airport we were directed to and boarded coach G. WRONG. We should have been on coach B. Comedy panic ensued so that we got on the right coach before it left without us. Before we even got to the hotel our minds were made up.
Tis a shame cos the flights were good and the accomodation was spot on although the latter had more to do with the resident Greek hostess who was super. (Dinas Studios, Kalamaki).
