Hello to Stathis and George...just trying to get your average score up! Actually, we ate here a lot and always enjoyed the food and service...staff VERY friendly!! Just make sure the toilets have toilet roll before you go in and if there isn't any, ask Harry!

If you haven't tried the Taverna Apollo at Alikanas before I strongly recommend you do! Excellent food (consistently), really friendly astmosphere and service, good location and excellent value for money. The restaurant is run by one family and is the second Apollo (the first is in Alykes and is also well worth a visit!). They welcome children and large groups. I have eaten here many times on numerous trips to Alikanas/Alykes and have never been disappointed. Mention to Stathis that you have read this review on the internet and you will probably get a free drink!

The original Taverna Apollo, well worth the short walk from Alykes centre - great food, atmosphere, value for money and really comfy seats! Run by the Voutos family - check out it's equally excellent sister restaurant in Alikanas...After you have eaten - have a drink with Dimitri in the Pool bar at the back - always entertaining!

Hi, in answer to some of the questions regarding location and facilities at Apollo Studios: you are approx 2 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is the top end of Alykes beach which is nice and quiet but you do have to pay for sunbeds (five euros per day for two).  There is a bar onsite next to the pool which is open 9am to 2am serving drinks, breakfast, bar snacks etc during that time, there are loads of sunloungers around the pool and I've never had a problem getting one, even when it's busy there. There is a restaurant onsite open from around 6pm which is excellent value for money, great food and very popular. There is another bar opposite (Virago, on the way to the beach), a supermarket about 5 mins walk towards the main street in Alykes and more shops and a bigger supermarket in Alykes itself which is about 10 minutes walk.  The rooms are very clean, all with balconies and will have a kettle and basic cooking facilities.  In short(!) you've chosen a really great location as it's generally very quiet at that end of town and the Voutos family are very welcoming and friendly...have a great holiday!

Hi everyone, to answer some of the recent questions: from Apollo Studios you are about 25-30 minutes walk from Alykanas but it's all on the flat so easy walking and also easy for pushchairs etc.  There is at least one silver jewellery shop in Alykes itself and also another one in Alykanas; worth checking in all the jewellery shops as many of them sell both. Regarding keeping your room on the day you leave, you will have to speak to your tour operator but if your flight is at 8.30pm you will be picked up around 4-4.30 as they have to do multiple pick-ups on the way, so not long to wait after leaving your room at noon; just relax in the pool bar and let Dimitri look after you! 

A great place to eat; great value for money, great service and superb for families. I noticed people who would come back night after night... Why not eat here and then have a nightcap at the Stonebridge Cafe/Snack Bar across the road?

To Everyone who is "worried" about Apollo Studios - they are basic but clean and in a lovely location; you will have a great holiday there - 2 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk from the town centre.  The pool area is great and well worth using, particularly as it has a bar/snack bar where you can get food and drink all day and night!  Babis is a lovely boy (a little cheeky sometimes) but great fun so don't worry about all these reports from girls who've stayed there!!
