JULIE I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM FIRST CHOICE YESTERDAY TO WARN ME OF BUILDING WORK, A BIT LATE AS WE GO ON SUNDAY. I E-MAILED THE HOTEL WHO ASSURE ME THAT THEY HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE WORK THAT IS BEING CARRIED OUT.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD RESTAURANT WHILST STAYING IN KALAMAKI I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TRY LAMBROS. I WAS IN KALAMAKI TWICE LAST YEAR IN MAY & SEPT/OCT & HAVE YET TO FIND SOMEWHERE WITH BETTER MEALS OR SERVICE. THE RESTAURANT IS RUN BY NECK & HIS SISTER VICKY, TRY THE ZAKYNTHIAN LAMB IT'S FANTASTIC, BUT THEN I ONLY WANT TO EAT GREEK MEALS WHILE IN GREECE, I CAN'T STAND BURGERS OR PIZZA.

GARY I WILL TRY TAVERNA PARIS AND MAYBE MERMAIDS, ALTHOUGH WE SPENT MOST NIGHTS IN ANGEL BAR WE NEVER ATE AT MERMAIDS WHICH HAS THE SAME OWNER CON. MY SISTER & HER DAUGHTER TRIED MOST OF THE RESTAURANTS ON THEIR VISIT 2 YRS AGO & WE TRIED A FEW LAST YEAR INCLUDING CHIVES WHICH WE DISLIKED MORE THAN ANY OTHERS. WE JUST LIKED LAMBROS SO MUCH WE WENT EVERY NIGHT IN SEPT/OCT. WE HAVE EATEN AT MERLIS BUT STILL DID NOT ENJOY OUR MEAL AS MUCH AS THOSE WE HAD AT LAMBROS, MAYBE WE WILL TRY OTHER PLACES THIS TIME, NO DOUBT WE WILL MEET UP DURING THE WEEK.

LAMBROS IS NO LONGER THERE, IT IS NOW A CHINESE BUT DON'T DESPAIR NECK HAS NOW OPENED A NEW RESTAURANT IN LAGANAS. IT TOOK US 5 DAYS TO FIND OUT. THE NEW RESTAURANT IS NAMED "SYRTAKI" AND IS OPPOSITE THE OLYMPIA HOTEL, THE FOO IS JUST AS GOOD.

Hello Nick, Con & yiannis, so you have had to put up with Holly & Lucy for a 2nd time this year, I trust they have behaved themselves. Trevor & I were really envious when they telephoned to say they were having a great time & had met up with some familiar faces, not to mention having their bottoms pinched by Nick at the airport (I will speak with him when we return next year). I hope to bring our sons & their other halves next time if I can persuade them to come, that will be an eye-opener. We holidayed in Lanzarote & Turkey as well as Zante this year but neither compared to Kalamaki & the great hospitality you provided. the guy you say trashed his room didnt. we were in there room the day before we left and we couldnt beleive how tidy it was compared to ours and they had to pay 25 euros to ave it cleaned and we didnt. they totally ripped them off. like to hear froom any 1 who remembers us, 3 essex girls all hairdressers stayed in the room lookin ova the pool.
