Hi, my husband, myself and two kids are flying out on 30 May. Has anybody seen the building work that is going on? We are obviously concerned about the amount of noise and disruption. Also we would like to see as much of the island as we can, are there good trips to go on? Would appreciate any info you can give.
Just got back on Sunday 13th. Had absolutely brilliant time in Kalamaki - Amaryllis was the perfect location, within easy walking distance of town and beach. Pool area was clean and well maintained, could not keep my boys out of it. They even preferred pool to going to beach. Rooms were kept clean and maid service was really good as well. Karaoke night on a Thursday night was a complete family even with the kids getting up and singing as well as the adults. Aircraft noise not really a concern and neither was the building work (when they were actually there) across the road. Would definitely go back again.
Tried this on first night as it was closest to apartments. Absolutely disgusting. Did not go back at all even though one of the waiters always stood around outside trying to get people to go inside. Got fed up with this night after night so discovered another route into centre of Kalamaki which meant we could avoid him.
Got back a week ago and already miss the food and atmosphere of Stanis. We discovered this little gem on our second week and went back several more times before we came home. Best meals we had throughout the holiday. Lovely walk to it as well in the evening.
