I have just come back from a lovely holiday staying at Rainbow. We stay there each year but it was great having the pool and pool bar area this year. Athena and Nikos have worked so hard to get the pool ready for this year. We really enjoyed it. Thanks Athena and Nikos and see you next year. Sam and Fil xxxx

We have been coming to Kalamki for years now and this is one of our best places to eat. Try the Saganaki prawns, they are delicious. I am sorry to hear that Matthew did not have a good meal here. I had the Beef steak with pepper sauce and both times it was lovely. The surroundings, food, service and price are all excellent.

I have to totally agree with Matthew here. We found that this bar completely lacked any atmosphere and although the 2 girls that ran it were very polite and plesant, it seemed they really did not know how to run a bar and how to get some life in it going. Great location though.

All comments are individual as you say Trevor and that is how Zante is, individual, so you take it as you see it including the airport!!!!!! What did you expect, a terminal like Gatwick!!!!! Everyone does have different standards in food including those that eat at places like Brewer's Fayre which does not include myself. Unfortunately you probably don't appreciate good food and excellent surroundings when it is thrown at you!!!!

We only ate there only once and that was enough!!!!!!!!!!! This place must be the worst place in Kalamaki to eat. I can't believe there people saying that actually enjoyed. We met lots of people whilst in Kalamaki this year and they all had the same opinion as us about this place and that was 'What a load of ****'

Sorry Paul but I have to agree with Fillos!!!! This bar does not have any atmosphere whatsoever and it doesn't say much for your holiday if you have time to get on the web and add your comments. Did you enter your comments whilst you were in this bar cos there was nothing else to do!!!!!! Say no MORE. Have you tried the Cave Bar or has that got toooooooo much class and atomosphere for you!!!!!!!!!

Each time we come to Kalamaki we always eat here quite a few times. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic and the price is very outstanding. Dennis and his staff make you feel very welcome.

This has got to be the best bar on the island. I don't think you could ask for a better location. Try a Blue Hawaiian cocktail which is superb.

I totally agree, how sad is somebody who goes back to a place just cos of a bar, espcially when it is Absolutely. I am pleased that you liked the Cave Bar.

Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is all I can say. Couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Lisa, you must be used to very big portions cos we found that they gave you too much!!!!!

We are just under three weeks away before we will be back on the island. The first place we go to eat is here.  The food is excellent, service superb and very friendly and of course you can't beat the ambience.  I just wanted to say to Patricia Senior - the reason why you had upset stomachs is probably cos you eat at Big Boys, didn't anyone tell you that unhealthy greasy fatty burgers made out of anything but beef are not good for you!!!!  And for anyone else who is reading this and haven't experied the great delight of Mikaelos yet, believe me, we have been going to this place for years now and it is probably the best restaurant in Zante and would Patricia know if she also eats at Big Boys and her comment was that this was better than McDonalds.  She obviously hasn't got much taste for good food!!!!

The reason why I made a further comment is because I felt I had to make new visitors aware.  I can not believe that some of the comments made below are true.  I am just telling the truth.  I hope that you can survive during this very very quiet period that Zante is having.  I think Kalamaki is a wonderful place and I would probably come into your bar if there was any atmosphere to it but there clearly isn't.  When we went passed the bar, the two of you even looked bored yourselves so how can you think you are going to get more customers when you are greeted with bordom.  I think your bar is in a good location and I think it looks nice as well but it does lack customers.

This is a reply to Oliver - First of all, I am not criticising what you have written but proof reading does help before you publish something that doesn't make sense!!!!  I agree with you that Zante has had some unfair publicity recently all because of Laganas. It unfortunately gives new visitors the wrong impression of Zante and indeed Kalamaki. 

For people reading this, go and try the Cave Bar, it is lovely and has everything that this bar lacks and as for Oliver, I hope you get lost in the Desert!!!!!

Well if I am sad cos I use this website then you must be too.  What is wrong with people giving their honest opinion on a website that serves that exact purpose.  You obvioulsy have the same personality as Oliver so why don't you join him in the Desert too, in fact why don't you take the two girls that run this bar with you, I am sure you will have what you call fun there!!!!
